The Black Bear Restaurant offers guests a true European experience. The restaurant has a cosy and homely feel to it and is decorated in a rustic theme with some touches of alpine decor. The mountain views are exceptional, both summer and winter, paired wi
Me and three friends shared a room for three nights. The room was basic, but beds were super comfy, room and bathroom clean, and good storage for boots and skis. Location is very convenient to the village and the chairlifts. Breakfast was included and really nice. Good espresso coffee, if you order it. Restaurant is really good. Good portion size and variety of dishes. Wine list good and well priced (esp for Thredbo).

( Winter Only) The fully licensed a la carte restaurant and bar has been part of Thredbo folklore for several decades. We feature both Australian and international cuisine, however, a favourite with our patrons and specialty of the house is fondue. Boasti

*Closed for the season | Reopen winter 2020* Thredbo's premier ski-in ski-out a la carte dining experience. Famous for its European influenced cuisine and beautifully curated wine list, iconic Kareela Hutte is the ultimate on-slope dining experience. Kare
Although this is an ideal place for a sit down lunch in beautiful surroundings, we were just stopping for a coffee and it was perfect. Just step out of your skis at the door and enter a European style chalet. The view all around of the slopes is delightful and with plenty of sunshine lighting up the area. The coffee was excellent- the best all week. The Austrian style pretzels were also good. Hi Travel_addict13_10, We are glad you enjoyed your time at Kareela Hutte and we thank you for your insight. We look forward to welcoming you back next winter. Warm regardsThe Kareela Team!

*Closed for the season | Reopens winter 2020* Located in the Thredbo Alpine Hotel, Segreto offers an exceptional menu, focusing on traditional Italian meals, in relaxed surroundings. Executive Chef Kane Stamp's cuisine is crafted with the freshest produce
It is with great sadness that I report that Segreto has fallen from grace. Took the family there whereas normally just myself and the boys go cis itâs only open during winter. This time had all the family and this was supposed to be the high point of the trip. My wifeâs margarita was the worst she has ever tasted, I concurred. My entree calamari was a small step up from Joeâs my scampi was good oh but the salad with it was bitter and unfortunately inedible never again. Hi Rojpix, Thank you for your review. We are dedicated to providing you with an exceptional experience and apologise that we did not meet your expectations. The experiences you described are not characteristic of the level of food and service that our team strives to provide. Your feedback has been passed onto the team to be used as part of our continual improvement program. Closed for the season | Reopen winter 2020 - Located at 1660m, at the bottom of the Cruiser Chair, Merritts Mountain House is the ideal stop for skiers and riders on-the-go. A great selection of food and drinks on offer, all with a traditional European ma
This is up the mountain above Merritts Chairlift. Great for a bite to eat or a beer at lunchtime whilst skiing. Prices very expensive but they have to get most of their produce up the chairlift because of winter access so I can understand why. For example, 600mL coke is $9. Managed to keep prices down by eating a pie ($7) and not a main hot meal ($20). Good coffee, kids loved the hot chocolate with whipped cream and a cherry. Serve yourself and find a seat. Not bad at all. And you can sit outside if it is not snowing.
