We enjoyed the ambience of this old gunpowder cellar. The service was friendly and helpful even though they were pretty busy (even early in the evening). Food was yummy and we had a really enjoyable time. I would beware sitting outside if you don't like mosquitoes - or take repellent! Shame really as outside looked nice and I didn't really want to be inside on such a nice evening; nevertheless, the atmosphere inside is great (I could imagine on a cold day it would be perfect).

We had a fantastic dinner at Kohivik-resto. The place is a little remote but absolutely worth going there! Nice seating area outside, very special dishes with great taste and friendly service stuff explaining every detail of the food served !

Very good place to have a business lunch, allways great options for lunch. Quick and professional service, great drinks and reasonable prices. Also their aâla carte menu has allways been great. They have a great breakfast menu served throughout the day with vegan options available. The coffee is tasty and as big as they come. Pancakes are definitely worth trying!The meals will take some time to arrive though, so if you're looking for a quick meal, this is not the best choice.

On our visit to Tartu, my wife and I wanted to get away from the center of town and any tourist restaurants. We found this place and were more than pleased! We had the locally brewed Pühaste Vulin IPA with a starter of potato wedges with wild garlic mayo. Delicious! Both of them. For the main I had the BBQ pork ribs which were wonderful while my wife had the chicken fillet with purple sweet potato purée. The restaurant is located in a renovated factory building about a 15min walk to the west of the center just off a main road. The atmosphere was relaxed and peaceful despite a near full house for dinner.I canât wait to come back. Aitäh!

Very good food. Chef is not willing to do any amendments in the receipt, so you have to choose another dish. Definately one of the best Italian places with real Italian cooking the food â¤ï¸ In the summertime also outside garden area is open with a very nice atmosphere :D Client Service is very nice and friendly - at least they were willing to go ask for amendments from the chef. Location is also good, in the Oldtown Interior design is likeyou have gotten into a true Italian trattoria - checkered tablecloths, different vases, pots and pans :D they also make exceptional Tom Collins

Had the fried Herring and then the Pike/Perch and both were beautifully presented and very tasty. Accompanied by home made rye bread and hospitable and attentive service I would thoroughly recommend this excellent restaurant, if you in Tartu definitely put this on your list for places to visit for food

I am not a fan of hotel restaurants. As we stayed in the hotel, we decided to have a dinner in the hotel. It was better than expected. Good service, not overpriced wine and good menu and food. Quite hard to find but impossible to forget. Nice surrounding. Than you have to sea the assortment of pasteries. For a moment you think you are in a museum looking at the beatiful art. After you spent time thinking which beatiful piece of art you are going to buy you finally taste it and you understand how angels feel in heaven. Lavender creme brulee was on the top!Thank you!

One night stay in Tartu and where to eat? A quandary but look no further than this excellent restaurant which offers superb food, service and atmosphere at very reasonable prices. The waitress served us speaking knowledgeably about the dishes and in a manner behoven to a Michelin rated restaurant. The food that followed was beautifully presented and tasted superb.
