I am gluten free and the menu clearly identified gf options which was lovely as I felt included and could clearly choose my meal. Staff spoke perfect English and the food was amazing. Unfortunately we couldn't get a table outside, but the view from upstairs across the bay was great. We had the sweetest clams and mussels followed by steak. This is a small venue and they don't take large group bookings, you need to phone and book after 7.00 in advance if you want any chance of getting a table (they spoke English over the phone too) I would highly recommend this place

Entirely concur with the many Tripadvisor plaudits about the quality of food at this tiny and always packed location. Accept seats at the bar if they canât reserve you a table. Just take care with your ordering. The menu recommends three plates and one dessert per person; a shared portion of jamon iberico and three or four plates between a couple might be a safer way to start, and then order more as and when you need it. Everything prepared fresh, pretty much in front of your eyes. Strongly recommended.

My family and I chose to visit DeTres according to the very positiv comments and nice setting captured by the picture on the website.It was a very good choice!We had some appetizers (grilled vegetables - asparagus were super! - grilled muscles), followed by a grilled bream and baby prawns cooked in tempura, all combined with a tasty local dry white wine. To finish lemon sorbet with limoncello, browny with ice cream and dark chocolate ice cream balls with whipped cream.On top of a very nice and intimate location, the owners were simply amazing, welcoming us, treating us with a lot of care and spending time with us chatting about Catalonia and the camarca of Baix Empordà .We really had the opportunity to experience a piece of Catalonia! Well done! Keep it up!HelloWe are really amazed with your feelings about us. We try to make our guests feel as home, and gave them the best experience. Thank you, we hope to see you soon.

We stumbled upon this restaurant and had to wait for 20 minutes for a table. But it was well worth the wait. The food was delicious and the the dishes very creative using fresh ingredients. We sat where we could see the food prepared and cooked. It was like watching a carefully choreographed dance. The staff made us very welcome, explained things despite our ignonorance of the Spanish language and accommodated dietary needs at short notice. We will return

We just loved this place! Katja was a fabulous host and the food was simply excellent. A real taste of Germany in Catalonia. We had the Schnitzels and the Strudel of course! We were in heaven. Unpretentious, delicious food and superb hospitality. We had a lunch and a dinner here. The sardines and goat cheese salad were excellent however the paella was disappointing. We had better elsewhere. The service was good but perhaps lapsed under pressure of people. Tamariu is such a charming little town it´s hard to imagine any food would taste bad here. All the waterfront restaurants were booked full so we chose one of the places on the entrance strip, so close to the beach that in any other town they would have counted as waterfront.I always judge a meal on the context, the value and the experience - not just the food itself - and Can Tonet´s weekend menu for 17 euros turned out to be absolutely excellent. The set menu offers a good variety of starters; we had the calamares a la romana and the mussels - both good portions, fresh and tasty. The other starters we saw, saladas etc. all look equally fine. For the main course we shared the seafood rice which was likewise very good, freshly cooked to order (sometimes in set menus at other restaurants they serve you from a enormous paella that has already been prepared). The menu for two adults came with a perfectly drinkable bottle of wine between two and the desserts - icecream and profiteroles with cream and chocolate sauce didn´t disappoint. The kids menu at 8,50 was perfectly serviceable although suffereing from the same old chicken nugget options as always. Every now and then you discover a place like Can Tonet that leaves you smiling and nodding at the satisfaction of a good meal and a very good price.

During our holiday in Tamariu this restaurant became our favorite lunch restaurant for a day at Tamariu beach as we (family with 2 young kids) were never disappointed. The food was fresh and simply very good. The clams, calamaris, little octopus, hake, but also the grilled asparagus, gazpacho, tuna salad: fresh and very tasty. Good local wines. Some of the staff seemed relatively new to the job, but they always did their best and always with a smile. Once again the well organised team at Chez Tomas excelled from the cooking to the service and friendly attention. A great place to eat with a varied interesting menu. Half portion options is a clever offer to guests for both starters and main courses. Sea bass BBQ'd is a signature dish in my opinion. Excellent choice of local wines too. Essential to book saw many people turned away.
