This place is fantastic! We were greeted immediately then asked if we wanted the menu in German, English or Italian. Keep in mind, this is in a small village in Austria, and everyone knows each other, so they knew we weren't from there. The grilled trout with potatoes was fantastic and the garlic lemon butter complimented it very well.I highly suggest this restaurant if you're in the area.

Un
Good menu and good quality of food and beverages. Be aware, in Austria smoking is allowed in restaurants.

The owners have an interesting menu in a region of very traditional fare. They use the local specialty 'Uhudler' (a type of rose wine) and pumpkin. Well worth a visit.

I know very well Montefusco's Family, because I worked there for couple of years.I can just tell amazing things about that italian restaurant, it's a lovely place that is curry on from the husband Raffaele that makes fantastic pizza and Elizabeth is taking care of the customers. They get great help from a good Giuseppe in the restaurant and Angelo in the kitchen. For me it's a typicall great italian family that with love are running the restaurant, great food, great pizza, great atmosphere,I reccomended a lot specially to the italians, cause there they'll be treated always like feeling to be at home.In the end I would like to say that many times you can find there some dish special according with season and that in the time many famous italian's where stopping there for a meal and they went home really really satisfied!!!

In the last decade as many times as my way went to Ronok (in Hungarian: Rönök) direction I stopped here to eat a dinner or lunch. I never been disappointed!Food are delicious and fresh, lovely real Hungarian flavors, services fast even in Sunday lunch time (Sunday lunch time in Hungary all the good restaurants are full of guests! reservation needed!), and the place itself is not only a restaurant but they have shops with Hungarian products, tobacco shop and a garden with animals to see, it's fun to kids. The only this to improve is that waiters are not too friendly, they are OK, they are objective but we missed that they do not smile, not even to kids. If you are driving on this way and would like to eat a good lunch or dinner don't skip this place. Take away is possible (portions are huge). Prices are adjusted to the neighboring country (Austria) as they have many guests from there as well, but it was not expensive. Five of us spent about 40 Euros plus tip.

Not far from the border we found this lovely restaurant. It was packed with locals which is always a good sign. Nice atmosphere, friendly service and good food we have been really satisfied with this place. Our schnitzel was tasty, big and cheap. Highly recommended.

Small, but very clean rooms. No screens on the windows, so be aware you'll wake up covered in mosquito bites in the summtertime. The restaurant is okay, not great, not terrible. It is convenient to the local bus stop and walkable to other hotels/restaurants in the area. For me it was across the street from a relative's home, so it was very convenient and you couldn't beat the reasonable rates.

We enquired before setting out -- are you doing a mushroom menu this Sunday? Yes, the landlord replied; and we'll save you the freshest Eierschwammerl and Steinpilze. So they did. Sunday was a blue-and-gold day, perhaps the most beautiful of all this autumn, and the meal that we had matched the weather. An amuse-bouche of Eierschwammerl en velouté that we two shared; then Steinpilze broiled in butter with a pork medallion and a dish of pappardelle with Parmesan-and-cream sauce for my companion; I had the crumb-crust deep-fried Steinpilze with a dipping bowl of horseradish cream and a side of buttered boiled potatoes dressed with chives. (A lettuce salad dressed with vinegar and pumpkinseed oil... was in attendance, and evokes in memory polite acknowledgement rather than wild enthusiasm. For wild enthusiasm, see below.)OUR MEAL WAS WONDERFUL. Absolutely wonderful. We didn't expect anything nearly so good. We were delighted. Such a lovely lunch, and so fitting a part of such a lovely, lovely day !They'll be doing game in a few weeks, and gosling for St Martin's Day, and I can't wait.

Large portions, far too large for individuals. Wasteful. That which was on the plate: Undistinguished. (Spansh olives in a Greek salad? Oh, come on. Cross the border into Austria. Buy the real thing.)And palpable disdain from the waitstaff, who never checked to see whether or not the food was to our liking, indeed after handing out the mains never dropped by the table at all. The four front-of-house staff huddled at the bar, checking their iPhones and admiring one another's piercings and tattoos and, no doubt, moaning about how unjust was the fate that had not yet called them to indie-film stardom in Budapest. Are you in Szentgotthárd, and hungry? Stay away from Café Corso.

Qualität, Quantität und Preis sind okay. Die Zubereitung der Gerichte ist allerdings sehr fettreich. Vielleicht waren wir aber auch zuwenig fettresistent.
