Steak was great and service was also good although staff did not speak English. Really hope that they get english menu as soon as possible. Easy to recommend!Thank you for your comment. I have stayed at Avalon several times and if you like some good local Komi food, the Elephant has a nice choice of that in the menu. I particularly recommend the Komi mushrooms as starters and then the selection of home made sausages. Service can be a little slow and dishes don't come at the same time for everybody but a nice local beer will make the waiting OK.

We stayed at the hotel in this building. That was our breakfast place.(coordinated with the hotel).We ate 11 times breakfast at this place. Always the same thing...nothing changes. Omelet or an oatmeal porridge and a table with some sausages and cheese, yogurt, tea, some veggies, butter. Plain and simple. Enough to kick start your morning. The views is probably the best part in this cafe, almost panoramic view of Syktivkar. Nice.
