Recently a couple of my family members visited the restaurant for a lunch, they thoroughly enjoyed the the experience the food and service, as a professional working in the hospitality industry and a ex student im so pleased that this still exists and absolutely need to be supported so wonderful that they have awarded a AA rosette, my hats off to you and your students, I personally will be eating there the next time I'm down..Thank you for your feedback, it really helps us to support the students into moving into a positive career.

I have visited this establishment on several occasions and the décor is nice and the staff very pleasant. However, some of the customers are very unpleasant, constantly swearing and they certainly wouldn't be welcome at the vicarage tea-party. On Monday 25th June, 2018 at around 3.45.pm I was enjoying a quiet pint when a man in his 40s came in accompanied by a pregnant lady and a baby in a pushchair. He was obviously drunk and ordered a strongbow cider and a cola. The barmaid served him but should not have done so as it is against the law to serve alcohol to a person who is drunk (Licensing Act 2003). What was completely revolting was that he was bare-chested and had an enormous beer-belly hanging over the top of his shorts, which in itself would have been grounds for the barmaid to eject him. There are some rough pubs in Sutton, but they wouldn't tolerate somebody walking in half-naked. The management have to get tough or the yobs will rule.We are sorry that you had a poor experience in our bar, had you stayed, you would have seen the manageress inform the person concerned to refrain from swearing and that he needed to put a shirt on or leaver the premises. It is unfortunate that you witnessed this, as it is not typical of our bar . We comply fully with current legislation, and in the opinion of the manageress, who was on duty, the customer concerned was fit to be served, he had one drink and left.

Enjoyed a delightful family meal here recently. Such a lovely welcome and terrific service all night. The decor is lovely as well.The menu features a range of delicious pizzas, pastas and meat based dishes as well as some terrific starters. Recommend the Tirimasu for pudding too.

Our third visit here and another very good experience. The pub is in a lovely setting, right next to the canal.Extensive menu including GF options. All very well cooked and presented, served by friendly, efficient staff.Slight mix-up with our booking which meant we had to sit at a table near to the bar. However, the member of staff who served us more than made up for this by the efficiency of how she dealt with us, making sure that this did not affect our experience. Thank you - we will be back!
