My wife and I were here in Surrey for a medical appointment. We found high recommendations on TripAdvisor and OpOpenTable for Old Surrey Restaurant. We were not disappointed. From the moment we entered the 101 year old house come restaurant, service was great. We dined in the old dining room. My wife chose the stuffed chicken. My wife, a superb cook has very discriminating taste. Excellent! Very very good. My choice was the lamb ribs medium-rare. Perfect! Succulent, suitably complemented by roasted potatoes, carrots and asparagus. I had a glass of the Kettle Valley Merlot - a good choice. My wife happily shared her dessert of chocolate pate - also very good.5 âï¸ for sure.

The restaurant is first class in every way. The staff greet you at the door and are very friendly. The premises is very clean and spacious. The chairs are high back and upholstered with a convenient hook on the table to hang your purse. There is a good selection of wine and food available. The presentation of the food is wonderful and is fresh and cooked to perfection. The service is great. I had salad, rice, 3 prawns and 2 scallops for $25.00 and found it to be pricey but it is a first class so the prices are also but you eat and drink the very best. Left hungry!!

We dined here with friends ad really enjoyed every aspect of the evening. The service was great, the food was excellent and the owner Brenda stopped by our table to see how everything was. We will go back for sure. Highly recommended.

Six of us met here for lunch on a weekday, the waitress was very good and was helpful explaining the menu. We all ordered the Schnitzel which is one of the house specialties. Lunch arrived and we all started eating, the first comment was âitâs dryâ the second comment was âit tastes greasyâ, both remarks were appropriate. I would not recommend this restaurant for lunch.
