Independent Bistro serving quality food at a fair price. Seats up to 50 persons in a typically French Provincial Bistro setting.
We have been attending this bistro for around twenty years, but I don't k ow if I will return anytime soon. The last time we attended for Bastille day celebrations the restaurant was packed, and with a real buzz. The previous owners were centre of everything, plus they really enjoyed the reason why we were all there. Tonight there was no atmosphere, or managers and there were plenty of empty tables. The food was okay. I ordered the lamb for my main, which was listed with dauphinoise potatoes, which actually it turned out wasn't the case, but came with a handful of quartered boiled potatoes.I always used to recommend this restaurant, but now I would hesitate to this due to the lack of consistency.I am sorry to write a negative review.

The French Deli was established in 1981 in its current location, Coventry Street, Stourbridge. It has enjoyed many years of excellent reputation and very loyal customers. The Deli has changed over the years, if only slightly, but continues to offer a huge
Great local deli. Always drop in for lunch, varied choice and fairly priced. Note: avoid the local 6th Form lunch breaks it can get very busy, call in early to collect lunch

Welcome to the Four Stones. Home of Internationally influenced cuisine, where our menus are thoughtfully tailored to meet our guests tastes and expectations.
My wife and I had the deal back in July to which we enjoyed and now we were joining friends on Saturday 12th lunch for the Groupon Deal again (£25.95 three course for 2). Overall we enjoyed our meal for the price (the seafood spaghetti main course is not worth the £6.00 supplement) but would not pay full price (compare the three course lunch £14.95 at The Crown Inn at Hollow). To accompany our meal we had a pint of Peroni £4.80, bottle of Sauvignon Blanc (NZ) £24.95, litre of house red carafe £15.00, double espresso. The service (I think by Jess) was attentive and pleasant and there is no service charge.

We have dined here for many years and like the basic floor boards and plain furnishing theme which may not suit everyone. Menu slightly limited but varied and very generous portions, although the standard of cooking has slipped a little recently. The staff are always very pleasant but service is not as good as it was. Our last visit, albeit on a busy Saturday evening, was extremely slow and haphazard. A long time to serve drinks and not all served together. Ridiculously long wait for food. Deserts and coffee ordered at the same time, coffee arrived 20 minutes later, another 15 minutes for first deserts then another 15 minutes for last desert. Three hours for two courses and drinks, we were almost falling asleep.
