Was staying in Spean Bridge after a long drive up and the fella in the B&B suggest Russellâs for dinner He said it is fine food Michelin star quality. As we are on holiday we treated ourselves and it was all he said it would be. The staff are happy and knowledgeable offered a chance to have a seat and drink whilst you choose in a room with comfortable seating. Then when the starter is ready we head to the restaurant. The food was stunning from the scallops stater, veal main to the raspberry desert. Couldnât fault it.

Our party of four ate at the Old Pines on an awful evening, with driving rain obscuring rhe beautiful outlook. However, the warmth of the welcome was more than adequate compensation. The service was very friendly and we were quickly served with a superb meal. Each member of the party chose different starter and main, and each described the dishes as among the best they had experienced. Most had no room for dessert, but the raspberry sorbet was spectacular. The young serving staff were efficient and effective, serving us with a smile. This is a gorgeous place to dine. With drinks, our meal came to £180, which we all felt was superb value for a truly memorable night.

At the Old Station Restaurant & Bar we offer great locally sourced food at reasonable prices. Dine in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, in the unique setting of a converted Victorian railway station on the world famous West Highland Line. We are located
We went here on the advice of our landlady. If you go, check the menu at the door rather than the much more extensive copies at the b&bs, maybe it was late season but what was actually stairways fairly minimal. The food was ok. But the staff seemed disorganized, tripping over each other and bossed around by a proprietor who seemed to be getting in the way. It took us half an hour to eat dinner and another half hour to get the check and get on our day-to-day this with perhaps half the tables empty. Doubt we would go back...
