Second visit with friends. Everyone was thrilled with their meals ... escargot, onion soup, salmon, mixed seafood, beef burgundy and steak. Service was professional and well paced. Lovely space, classic bistro look, full bar, don't miss dessert.

Hamilton Barbecue and Restaurant

Reviewed By Vicarmuddlebush

On cold winter nights when one is too tired to cook, ordering a whole barbecued chicken (with rice and beans, served on the side) to go seems just right. The Hamilton Barbecue's version of this classic dish is first rate. There's a pleasant saltiness to the skin; the chicken is moist and flavorful, the black beans elemental and good. One wishes they would offer half the amount of rice they include and replace the other half with something green, even a salad. I have mentioned this to the owners to no avail. My hope seems stuck in the inbox of unfulfilled wishes. The price for the whole chicken dinner (around $13 if I recall correctly) is reasonable, given that there are always leftovers. he owners/workers are friendly and skilled at what they do. We have used this restaurant for takeout only, but there are tables both inside and outside. Speaking of outside, in the summer, we have used HB for informal catering on a couple of occasions with good results.

We were at the Palace for a large function (350+) The food was fresh, hot and delicious, it was filet mignon and it was done perfectly. The cocktail hour was so nice, lots of food and no wait at the bars.
