Busy place, smiling faces, good espresso, a wide choice of pastry and sandwiches. Nice place to stop for a break at all times of the day. And the people are friendly, kind and efficient. What else? Ah, the bill does not come as a surprise, fair and fine.

Prosecco is a small town, not too far from Trieste. We had gone there for nostalgic reasons (friend was born there), and was delighted to find this restaurant almost next door to the old home. They serve seafood only, no menu, the wait staff will just tell you what's available. Everything was delicious and the price was very reasonable. There were four of us and the meal with 1/2 litre wine was Euro 79. Must make reservation on weekends, as with most good restaurants in the Trieste and surrounding areas.

A restaurant that looks like it should be a hostel canteen, but has real restaurant prices. Bad cuisine and although the menu sounds good, the quality is very poor nad severely overpticed. Unpleasant manager and an experience to be avoided - there are so many better options in Trieste.Probabilmente non vi stavo simpatico...giovanni

We found this little family-run inn/wine cellar today in Sales on our trip to Prepotto and stopped for a short break, which was not so brave in the end though. :) This wonderful and cozy place with its kind owners made us stay and truly made our day. We were offered some delicious home-made ham, cheese and bread and had the possibility to taste the regions unique wine. We would warmly recommend this place to anyone.A group of 5 from Hungary...

This is a nice and rustique restaurant around a butchery and a vineyard. The food was good and more than plenty, the wine was excellent, the personnel friendly. We had the chance to come early and were well served. Unfortunately one of their wines made in into Decanter 2017 and got there some 90 points which affected the prices, if one wants to buy bottles. At our departure Restaurant and parkign lot were jammed and the personnel under stress.

Had lunch with family and friends last week. Very nice location with plenty of greenery surrounding the location. If you have small kids they can play in the rear of the restaurant where there is a park with swings and plenty of space to run around. There is also a small stable with three horses. The food is very good and one can choose a la carte or set menu, all reasonably priced. The service was very good too. One can choose to sit inside or out on the patio overlooking the park and stables. If the weather is good, the outside seating is perfect.

Many of the dishes are re-imagined traditional Slovenian dishes but with a modern twist. The service was excellent and the food was trully amazing.

Exceptional food (gnocchi, Crema carsolina, ali di pollo fritte, lasagna di zucca). The service was not well organised but it was a wedding.

This is not first class restaurant. It is village inn in Zgonik with locals and personnel, knowing all of them and their wishes. Visitors will get nice meal or pizza in the evening. Food is fresh and local. It is not Italian. It is Mediterranean and Carstic. Gostilna has covered garden and two separated side rooms in the house. Toilettes are modest as the prices.

Trattoria Al Faro, a small, rustic village inn built at the beginning of early '900, in close proximity to the historic monument Triestino "The Victory Lighthouse". Located in a unique position from which extends a breathtaking view of the Gulf of Trieste
We were greeted pleasantly and shown to our table. The setting is very pretty surrounded by flowers and looking out towards the ocean. The restaurant is known for its seafood but for an entree I had baked goats cheese wrapped in prosciutto which was amazing. I savoured every mouthful. My husband had the shellfish Au Gratin which he also enjoyed. I was a little disappointed with the mixed seafood plate. I felt the sardines were overlooked but the squid and prawns were tender. An enjoyable experience.
