The best restaurant experience in Bad Schandau. The Kalbsmedallions are superb, and everyone enjoyed their meal. The service was excellent and despite a bit of a language-barrier, the server was extremely attentive and made sure everything was right. I would highly recommend this restaurant.
Great espresso-a wonderful mini spoon included, tasty garlic & peas soup, excellent burger with coleslaw salad, simply perfect tableware, nice and kind staff (even at 11pm)Outdoor dining, stylish interior, cozy atmosphere

This is a quirky and comfortable restaurant on the bank of the river just outside Krippen. We arrived at spargel zeit, asparagus time! We were treated to delicious plates of food, I enjoyed the salmon. The staff were not phased by my gluten free requirements. We finished the meal with caramelised asparagus, surprisingly good!A popular restaurant, so arrive early or book!

Had dinner at the restaurant twice during our stay in Bad Schandau. The views towards the river Elbe are beautiful and watching the ships go by was very relaxing. The service was very good, attentive but not intrusive. The quality of the food was amazing, we were there during the " "Spargelzeit" (asparagus season) and enjoyed the freshly prepared food very much.It is a bit more pricey than some other places in town, but for a special treat it is well worth it.

The food has been not bad, but we have seen far better one in Czech Republic. For example the garlic soup didn't include much garlic and cheese, also it wasn't served with bread or something else, like always it's the case. The main dishes were too spicy - the first had to much pepper, the second far to much chilli. The cheese dishes were okay, nothing to complain about, also the crocettes were good. Also we had to wait very long for our meals, not to mention the unfriendly, rude staff. After waiting about 30 minutes for a dessert they weren't able to let us know that it would have taken an other 30 minutes to prepare the pancakes. What a shame! Also I found it strange and not nice to put all German guests in one room where german radio was playing. Never experienced this ever before! So if you like to feel like in Germany and not like in the Czech Republic, and you don't mind to spend the most of the time waiting, this is probably the right place for you. But this is for sure not real, authentic and exellent czech cuisine!

My wife and I had dinner there. I had the Bohemian Schweize mushroom (pfefferlinge) with cream with knödel (dumpling). Mine was very tasty and filling. She had the trout with butter and lemon which she said was delicious. The staff were very friendly and attentive as they could be, as it was busy. Happily recommend. Only criticism is that she thought that the side salad dressing was a bit of a let down. I thought it was fine.

Saxony, Germany Food Guide: 10 German food Must-Eat Restaurants & Street Food Stalls in Sebnitz

We wandered in the restaurant on a rainy Saturday evening. The restaurant is very small, but the whole experience there was very positive: friendly staff, delicious meals. They had a regular menu and daily specials written on the chalkboard. The menu is available in German only. I speak a little German so I am not sure if the staff speak English. The prices are fair.We had a big salad and a meatloaf (Leberkäse) with fried eggs, fried potatoes and sweet mustard on the side. The salad had a good mix of vegetables with crumbles of rich feta cheese. The meatloaf was well-cooked. The host was very friendly and helpful. We felt welcomed and enjoyed eating dinner at Kirchklause.
