This bistro is inside an hotel and offer an independent entrance and parking faciities. The ambience is perfect, an eegant and contemporary mix of soft elegance and traditional inspired touches ( look at their celings).Understated elegance, a perfecty balanced menu offer with a touch of French inspiration and some great classics revisited.Friendly and accurate service made by a staff well trained, food is really well presented and well cooked, even a nicoise salad was just perfect.A little sow the cooking but the atmosphere is so good that you will not regret any minute spent here. Really impresive the whole structure. ManicuredHello enricoallieviThank you for taking the time to share your experience with the TripAdvisor Community! Great to hear you liked the cozy and friendly atmosphere of our PASTIS bistro.Kind regardsIhr Team der Gästebetreuung, LA MAISON hotel

Stopped off for a beer on the way elsewhere as the Schloss was closed. The grounds overlook the lake and in the summer probably a nice place to sit out. It's quite big, but at this time of the year not very full. The two house brews were enjoyed and the huge coppers were pretty impressive.

But I would rather recommend owners who claim that you can pay with credit/other type of card to be honest and add "of our local spar kasse". It is not the best experience when you want to pay 9 PM after dinner and none of your cards is accepted and you are advised to find ATM in city you don't know leaving ID with waitress.Honestly I do not recommend this place.

I arrived at 2 pm and upon my question whether they could still prepare me food, I was told YES (but I was cutting it close).I did not expect the food on the German side of the border to be better than that on the French side, but such is life. Excellent Wiener Schnitzel with an excellent wine (suggested on a board outside the entrance). Not only was the food quality high (a proper veal schnitzel with just the right amount of lemon wedge), the portion was so generous that this cyclist who had just competed more than 65 km could not finish it.I am jealous of the people who live close by and have the chance to eat the Local's Lunch fo 8.50 Euros every day !

We stayed in an Hotel at the lake and wanted to have dinner someplace else so we had a look on tripadvisor and found this place. It is literally in the middle of nowhere and is really weirdly decorated. It has a really special / weird touch but we loved it because of that as it solely relies on its food to draw its clientele and not on any modern fancy decoration. The staff was friendly, the food delicious, the service fairly fast and the value fantastic and the meal huge!!It reminded me on places that you see in old German movies:)

Another gem hidden in the Saarland! The food is slightly more expensive, but perfectly cooked and delicious. They have grilled meat, schnitzels, and Italian food. Everything our party ate was fantastic! One of us had the traditional breakfast schnitzel, with a 2 over-easy eggs ontop, and a couple of us had the lamb. I personally highly recommend the lamb.

Fine fresh food made of all-natural products, excellent wine-selection from the most famous wine-growing districts.

Bringing my parents over to Germany to meet the Mr's parents found us at Locanda Grappolo d-oro & this visit was as amazing as our first visitEven though it was a holiday, they were open for lunchAmuse Busche consisted of Smoked Salmon, Gnocchi & Potato Salad for the meat-eaters. We veggies had a nicew piece of Canteloupe substituted for the salmonI have to point out that their Gnocchi has taken my #1 favorite gnocchi of all times & I would have happily made a meal out of those little pillowsJust a bit of texture, these gnocchi melted in the mouth yet still had a bit of chew. paired w/ truffles in butter sauce & just a hint of parmesan, this was absolute heaven!Appetisers for all consisted of their Cream of Alfalfa Sprout Soup - this was creamy & had a TON of flavor. Nicely spiced yet they allowed the sprouts to take center stage & really shine - I could have had 3 more of theseMain courses for the Mr's parents included the Beef w/ Peppercorns & just like last time, it did not disappointMy Mom had the fishDaddy chose the Beef in a Mustard Sauce & said the beef was extremely tender & flavorful & the sauce put it over the topThe Mr & I had their Asparagus Risotto - creamy, rich & paired w/ tender & perfectly al dente spears of Asparagus - this was another risotto heavenDesserts for the table included their assorted cookies & homemade wine-filled truffles - perfect end to a perfect meal!
