We had a very nice meal at this restaurant. It is situated on the corner of the main square and is a typical German restaurant serving typical German fare with a slight East European influence. I had the tomato soup followed by the Cordon Bleu and my husband the fladle soup and veal schnitzel. Both were very good and well cooked and very enjoyable. The portions were huge - the salad served with the cordon bleu was a meal in itself. I couldn't finish the meal and was offered a doggy bag!! Service was excellent. The bill was very reasonable.

Cute, quaint and cosy comes to mind, in describing this cellar restaurant. Stone walls and solid wooden furniture ooze character and charm. The cute âcat cornerâ adds the cherry to the cake. My comforting âhay roastâ (Heubraten), which is a slow-cooked beef, served with gravy and a side Spätzle and salad was tasty and melt-in-the mouth. My companions ordered a pan-fried poulard breast which was oh-so-pretty and pork steak, which they enjoyed. The extensive wine list featured a good local Pfälzisch selection, as well as the trusted and true imported full bodied reds. Our friendly waitress rounded off our dining experience. We chose the restaurant to entertain visitors from Australia due to its atmosphere and selection of local dishes and wines, and were simply satisfied.

Prices ok. I know German food can be heavier than some, but this was stodgy. Schnitzel and salad were fine, but sweet potato chips were not sweet potato and not good chips. If I order belly of pork, I do not expect 2 slices of over salted preprepared pink sliced rolls of meat, The sauerkraut was good as were the bratkartoffel.....but a real palatinate meal it was not.Disappointing......I hope this is not the standard elsewhere.

Very good restaurant with fresh quality, creative cook, very obliging waiters. Indeed, the boss is very according to to the staff near the guests if sometimes not function so well. We didn´t like this, therefore, we are not so often here. It is a pity, because the fish is absolute perfect.

Direkt auf dem Rhein schwimmt unsere Heimat! Erlebe tolle Fisch- und Fleischgerichte in einmaligem Ambiente!
We came with family to celebrate Germanyâs Fatherâs Day. The boat was cozy and the waitstaff was very nice and helpful. We had the asparagus soup, delicious, and our main course was the seafood duo. The main course was disappointing in flavor. Luckily the dessert was excellent; we had creme brûlée and chocolate mousse. The hamburger looked great and our family member said it was really good.

A bright modern restaurant with inside and outside seating. Although it is in the Main Street it didnât fell touristy (menu only in German). The food was very good, with many typical local dishes.
BEST BEST RESTAURANT! Was there in 1989-1991Great wait staff. Especially the young man, and I think his sister. I adored her. Great family restaurant. Will be back in 2014 for a visit and will definitely make this place a priority. Amalfi salad (no onions) know how to speak it. Can't spell it. Lol. Must go!

We passed in this area and found this place on Tripadvisor. We were not deceived. For 6 to 9 Euros you get a menu with a decent Italian dish plus a dessert. Limoncello offered afterwards. They also have yummy pastas and fish dishes. It looks like the owner serves the dishes, a very friendly and efficient person. When I'm in the area and I am hungry, I come here!

A hotel with an adjoining restaurant that reflects the modernity and tradition in architecture and food. Under the motto "Landlust & Hofgenuss" predominantly products of the region are freshly prepared.
We stayed at the Hotel Salischer Hof for 1 night and decided spontaneousely to have dinner at the hotel restaurant after seeing their menu. We managed to get one of the last tables in the garden restaurant. The service was very friendly and personal. The menu has a lot of local specialties and local wines. The quality of the food is great and perfectly cooked and presented. If you like local German food then this is a place to check out.
