Another evening meal planned by the hosts of our week long seminar the food here, while a buffet, was definitely more interesting. One item that I had never seen before was white asparagus, a local delicacy that is only harvested for a short period. It was steamed and served with what looked like a beure blanc sauceâ¦very good. The rest of the meat and starches were well prepared and quite good. The dessert was a trio of berry ice, fresh fruit, and crème bruleeâ¦quite nice. Had it ended there the meal would have been great. Probably planned by our hosts there was a floor show, consisting of a fairly good female singer and one of the waitresses as a comedic side kick. The older folks in the crowd enjoyed it a lot more than I did. I snuck out for a beer and a cigarette while the show was going on. I donât think the show is a regular part of Friday night dinner so you can probably just get the food. Recommended.

Last night was the 5th time we've been to this restaurant. The reason is because the food is excellent and for no other reason. The service is poor at best and most of the staff not very friendly. The menu (Speisekarte) given to us last night, "The Summer Menu", has spelling errors and is the poorest example of layout we've ever come across. You had to guess what price was meant for what dish. For example, next to the word Hauptgerichte was a price then a blank line with another price followed by a menu item with a price??? It took us a while to figure out that the prices didn't line up with the dishes and that some of the dishes were single spaced from the next item and some were not. I'm uploading a picture of said menu. It was not any sort of representation of the quality of the food. If we hadn't been aware of the kitchen's high standards then I'm not sure, after looking at the menu, that we would have stayed.A 5 Star kitchen with a 3 star service and a 2 star for the God awful menu card. That would equal 3 1/2 stars but I can only give whole points. Given the frustrating service and annoying menu I can't round up.I hope the Restaurant's management takes the time to read this comment so that they can become an outstanding place to dine.
