Reviews on European food in Sarajevo, Sarajevo Canton, Bosnia and Herzegovina. Bosnia and Herzegovina's fascinating capital Sarajevo nestles among dramatic peaks, a bustling and welcoming city. War took its toll, with the 1992-1996 siege hitting hard. But the lively, diverse, museum-rich city has been almost entirely reconstructed. Don't miss Bijambare caves, set in thick forests and amid lakes to the north of the city, or Bosna Springs, from which the country takes its name. Site of 1984's Winter Olympics, Sarajevo offers spectacular skiing on Mount Bjelasnica Jahorina.

This restaurant was our favorite in Saravejo. We had 2 great dinners there and the food was fantastic. Itâs small therefore itâs intimate with great atmosphere. There is no menu , You have a chat with the waiter about what you like and dislike and dish is personalised to you. The waiters were great an the Chef was very friendly and even stopped at our table to say hello. My husband and I loved our food, fish and veal. I highly recommend this place.

We tried here on the strong reviews and on first impressions were pleased. It was busy with decent music and the atmosphere was good. We were tempted by some tapas, mistake. It eventually arrived, cold. The waiter apologised and took it back and the next serving was hotter. The wonders of a modern microwave! None of it was fresh - our mistake maybe as we should have had a burger, but it wasn't good regardless. To top it off, when paying the waitress was barely civil. It's a shame, as it could have been a nice meal.

At the recommendation of our friend we had dinner with colleagues there. Very small tables and uncomfortable seats close to the kitchen, and due to that a bit noisy. Two ordered steaks, but they were not satisfied with the quality.

Visited this cute little restaurant with friends on our long weekend trip to Sarajevo. The charismatic chef asked us what we fancied eating, checked if there were any allergies and then whipped up a delicious meal with excellent wine. Dessert was a taste sensation with chillies to bite before sinking our teeth into the most delicious chocolate concoction.

Small trattoria serving beautiful pastas and salads, also a few kind of amazing creps savory and sweet
Small restaurant in some distance from the old city and main attractions, but soooo worth to visit. Maybe this is not a very traditional Bosnian restaurant, however the food served is excellent. They also have local, craft beer, not just some popular massively produced ones. The service was very nice and helpful. It is also possible to eat here something vegetarian which is not easy in Sarajevo. Very recommended.

New twist on an old recipe - klepe as a starter followed by veal flambé with cognac accompanied with caramelized baby carrots and potatoes with truffle oil and parmesan cheese. Finished the evening off with a rich chocolate mousse.Friendly, laid back atmosphere, and great food every time.

Every dish was amazing! I had mushroom puffs as starter with crispy wild mushrooms, duck breast with blueberry sauce and semifredo (a soft ice cream) with walnuts honey and truffles. Each dish was tasty, creative and different from the offer of other restaurants in Sarajevo yet wholesome. The staff is very friendly and the place is cosy. In the summer or suNny days the outdoors terrace is lovely. The restaurant is non smoking and that's another rarity in Sarajevo!

This place claims to be the only vineyard and it certainly commands a great view over the city. The family hosts were very friendly and helpful in explaining both their history and their current wine collection. We tried the tasting menu which was generally interesting and tasty but with one or two minor flaws like pistachio shells in the pasta that prevent me from giving the full 5 stars. All the dishes were well presented and tasty but none really stood out. The same was true of the wines which were of a high quality but not outstanding. Thanks for your honest review, which give a warning to care more in kitchen.
