We stayed in the are for a few weeks, and found ourselves returning to Shannons place every week for lunch. The food is so hearty and good, dessert is always jummy and the wine is great too. Good price too! Think homemade food style with a touch of both American and Norwegian cuisine. Everything is locally produced and in season. We had lam, veal, quail, sausages...JUM! The first strawberries arrived when we were there too, served on top of a lemon cake, it was perfect. It's only four tables inside, so call ahead for lunch to make sure you get a table (it's only open for lunch). Ambiance is great, the small tables outside in the sun is cozy for a glass of wine or coffee. Would go again, for sure.

We had dinner here and enjoyed it so much we went back a second evening. They have five or six daily suggestions which are very fresh and well prepared We had the fish both times and were very pleased( you can also order from the menu as well - either a three course plat du jour or a la carte. ). It was a nice mix of locals and tourists. The waitress/ owner can explain the menu in English and is very attentive. Donât skip dessert. Everything we tried was delicious as were the wine selections. ( we always like to drink local). We ate inside as the weather was chilly but on pleasant evenings there are several tables outside. We made a reservation for our second visit on a Saturday evening and Iâm glad we did. The restaurant was full and people without reservations had to be turned away. If youâre in Apt, this is a great place to try

From the moment you enter, you can tell you are in the presence of an artist - everything from the decor to the menus to the food is a creative experience. There are a lot of traditional elements in the cuisine (mostly French, but some pan-Mediterranean), but they are combined and elaborated upon in a quite artistic way. You could tell by the number of specials on the menu that this is a place where every dish is well considered (it was evident that several of the dishes made use of seasonal ingredients that insured produce and meats were very fresh). The cooking and ingredients are all of high quality, My wife and I both ordered a fois gras that was perfectly salted and cooked. Both of our entrees were excellent and the kind waitress was friendly and very helpful in finding something our baby could eat. The establishment was the high-point of our stay in Apt. I would revisit Apt only to return to this restaurant.

We came upon this restaurant during a tour of small villages near Apt in late June. The host is welcoming, the food authentic, everything was delicious, and the price was reasonable. We will return again.

We visited Le Petit Jardin on the recommendation of the lady who owns the mill we were staying in. The setting was fantastic. A beautiful courtyard garden with both locals and tourists contributing to the gentle ambience of the restaurant.Slight problems with the language barrier, but fortunately an Australian lady at the next table spoke good French so was able to explain that I didn't eat meat. My husband and I shared the musssels to start - absolute heaven. I had the vegetarian ravioli as a main course. I think I can honestly say it is the best ravioli I have tasted, although it looked more like a little lasagne than the parcels I expected. I had the creme brulee (my favourite dessert), and it didn't disappoint. Again, I feel the best creme brulee I have ever had. Would not hesitate to recommend this fantastic restaurant.

Every time we come to the Luberon we rent bikes and explore the area. We use the hill climb to Saignon as a litmus test of our fitness as do many other cyclists it appears!Whenever we explore we like to refuel with coffee and cake / croissants. The best cake shop in the Luberon has to be La Vie en Rose in Coustellet but whilst their decor and cakes are amazing, they don't make a croissant as nearly as good as Chez Christine which simply has the best croissants in the area. Tap the top of the croissant and you get that click sound. Then pull off the top and it peels off in layers. Splendid!Their Cafe allongé (espresso with extra water) is top notch as well although we find we need to order 2 each but at EUR 1.50 each it's not a big deal. And of course if you are having 4 coffees you may as well have 4 croissants!

Excellent tasty French food that's very reasonably priced and well known in the area of Cereste. Closed on wednesday evening and tuesday.
Auberge de Carluc was an excellent meal in an excellent atmosphere. They offer two-course pré-fixe's if you don't think you could eat a whole three courses. The plats du jours were excellent, as well as the desserts, which included apple pie, baba au rhum, tiramisu, mousse au chocolate, and others. I really recommend this place.

I asked the owner, who was setting up for lunch service, if there was a table available for lunch, and his response was not just rude but hostile. Disappointing, to say the least, since the reviews for meals have been so positive.

This charming place along the highway serves great food. Its equally charming owner, Pauline Amblard, works the tables herself. The 18.5e lunch special was fantastic. Just go to the website and look at the menu! It appears that the associated B&B is equally excellent. On a bikepath and has a pool too. This is a place one should go back to many times!
