Do not expect anything special from this roadside restaurant! They do pretend and try to portray themselves as a gastronomic experience but that is only an illusion. Dated interior and prices does not match the quality of food. Should you still want to try we can recommend the Salers beef

A small restaurant which is well situated just off the main square (Place de l'Hotel de Ville) in this delightful medieval town. They offer a simple menu with a good choice of very tasty tartines and some grilled meats. The tartines are served with chips & salad, were delicious and offered excellent value at 8 or 9 euros each. There was a good choice of desserts and drinks. Service was very friendly & efficient. There are some tables on the pavement across the road. There is not a lot of space inside and it is popular with the locals so it is worth booking a table.

Fantastic view, great food, impeccable service, good wine at reasonable prices, what more can one ask for? The owner was very helpful and we received a warm welcome. The food was so good that we ate too much and couldn't fit in the cheese course, which was a shame.

Dined 3 nights at the Auberge des Montagnes during our 3 night stay. Have not found such complexity of flavors nor refinement of taste often. One superior dish was the whole trout feuilleté, wrapped in delicate pastry leaves. This dish is for 2 people and must be ordered in advance of the dinner hour. cheese board generous and varied. Desserts to die for.

We use the Coin Chaud most days as our mid morning hot chocolate stop, lunch stop and afternoon break!! Chairs and tables outside when its warm and sunny and inside when its not!! Hot drinks, cold drinks, alcohol, sandwiches, bagguettes, chips so plenty of options as an alternative to a full sit down meal. Nice facilities as well!!

Visited this restaurant on Saturday 20th Feb as a group of 8 following a great skiing holiday in Le Lioran. The staff were very welcoming and were very friendly with us all, particularly with our children with who they were genuinely happy to speak to. The menu is very much geared towards typically French foods with a few familiar favourites, this was expected as they resort is not aimed at other nationalities which and is something we are aware of. The food was quick and well cooked as requested. The restaurant is on 2 levels and we were downstairs, as the place was full it made for a great atmosphere where we didn't have to be worried about making noise and having a laugh. Only criticism would be to have a slightly larger selection for children. Overall a very nice evening with friends in a resort we will revisit next year.
