This is our favourite restaurant by far in the area. The ambience is so relaxed, but with excellent service and superb attention to detail in all areas. The chef, Laurent Surut, creates amazing dishes and on this visit, I felt that if possible, the food was even better than before! So inventive, beautifully presented and the balance of flavours and textures exquisite. The wine options are perfect and the sommelier is very knowledgeable- he makes excellent suggestions so take his advice! Thank you so much!We are delighted that you have had a good time with us.See you soon in our new restaurant.

After 8 years on the Quai des Carme, distinguished by many guides including star by Michelin after a year "off" to furrow and discover Asia, The restaurant is coming back and writes a new story. This story we want it to be about sharing a room for 20 gues
We stayed in the Hotel 21 Foch (highly recommended!), and the restaurant was inside the hotel. We made the excellent decision to dine here.We ordered a four course diner with wine pairings. It was an impressive dinner that can only be compared to a pleasantly complicated passage of music. The meal opened with a flute of lemon foam with a nice balance of acidity and sweetness, but my wife and I both were concerned about a conflict with the wine. It didnât happen. At the bottom of the coup was a teaspoon of something sweet, and our mouths felt clean and fresh. The amuse bouche further tempered the lemon. By the time we moved on to the fois gras, we were pleasantly prepared for the wine. There was a unity to the service, one plate after the other seemed to play off the last one, and to prepare our pallets for the following dish. We did not sense that we were eating four separate courses. All four wines had a sense of unity. Everything we ate was locally sourced. Plates came and went with such good timing that we lost track of time. There was a rhythmic pace to the dinner that one would expect from a piece of fine music. After I paid the check, my wife asked the time. The dinner had lasted three hours but felt like a few minutes. Our room was one floor away. We got a good night's sleep.

This new restaurant offers a 9-course tasting menu with extra-nice surprises along the way. Tucked into an intimate neighborhood near central Angers, it offers a modern contrast against nearby medieval buildings and neighborhoods. The price will surely increase as this restaurant becomes better known, but for the time being may be the best bargain I've ever experienced on top of being what I believe will become a well-known foodie destination on its own. Can't give it a higher recommendation.

We pass by this restaurant nearly everyday, and it is always full at lunchtime. One day, my husband and I stopped in to see if we could have lunch. We were asked if we had a reservation, and we said, "No". We were kindly told that they were sorry, but they were full (complete). We vowed that we would make a reservation one of these days....and today was the day! There are maybe 15 tables in the entire restaurant. Typical of a lot of restaurants in Angers....hence the need for a reservation. The menu was in a plexiglass holder on the table....not a fancy way to present it, but considering the space, it made sense to do it this way. Two formulas were offered.....entrée + plat (15â¬) or entrée + plat + dessert (21â¬). Three choices were offered in each category, and everything sounded appealing. For the entrée, my husband ordered the trout carpaccio, and I ordered the warm goat cheese and chorizo salad.....both were fantastic. The flavours in both dishes were unusual and delicious. Continuing with the plats, my husband ordered the fish from the market, and I ordered the veal sauté.....again very savoury and wonderful sauces on both. We ended up sopping up the remaining sauce with our baguette pieces....so good.We were considering dessert, but we were so content, that we hated to overindulge. However, we did have coffee, which was the perfect way to end the meal.Neither of us likes to drink wine at lunch, so I cannot rate their wine list.Overall, an excellent lunch for 30â¬. We will be making another reservation in the future!

Are here on a recent trip to Angers. The restuarant is clearly new and is run by a young couple who are trying very hard to please ( and succeeding). The menu was small but the food was excellent and well presented. The stand-out feature was however the cost, at 15 Euros for 3 courses this represented really good value for money. If you are looking for good food and service in Angers without having to spend a fortune then I'd highly recommend Le Temps Retrouve. .

Fantastic place on the river, furnished very well with simplicity and refinement. Staff very kind, courteous and helpful: very careful to allergies and intolerances! Really great food, with fresh fish and well cooked! Excellent value for money. Adjacent parking. Absolutely recommended!!!

I never thought I'd say any restaurant used too little salt, but that actually seemed to be the case here, especially in the seafood appetizer. The chicken breast was among the best I've tasted, as was the carrot accompanying it! This is cooking that lays forth good ingredients, unadorned but correctly prepared. Interesting wines, excellent service, friendly atmosphere.

Despite being extremely busy, the waiter looked after us well. It was cold outside so we appreciated being inside out of the wind. The red velvety chairs add to the 'theatre' feel.Sorry you are not on the right page, we are a little restaurant in Angers with dark leather chairs⦠Could you delete your comment please?

When in Angers on business this is my favorite restaurant for the outstanding beef dishes, plentiful and flavorful. We sit outside when the weather is good, usually in groups of 4-6 and the experience is pure pleasure. A very large selection of meats, well prepared with relatively attentive service and generally reasonable prices. Can be busy for dinner so be prepared. A very good, regular haunt for me in Angers
