Nero Balsamico is a new restaurant in Modena Our intent is to offer a food closely related to the territory and to its culinary excellence, rediscovering its genuineness and enhancing the peculiarities. Everything in a peaceful and elegant location, ideal
The restaurant was adjacent to our hotel so it made for easy dining after a long day of traveling. We had high hopes for our meal when a starter consisting of chunk of parmesan cheese drizzled with balsamic vinegar arrived. Unfortunately, that was the highlight of our meal. Food was under seasoned and simply bland. By far the most disappointing meal of our trip.Dear Customer ,Thank you for being our guest and for sharing your opinion. We really regret that the dinner was not up to expectations , we strive every day to offer our guests the best.Trusting in future occasions to be able to fully appreciate our cuisine we offer you greetingsLo Staff

unbelievably tasty food. One of the best restaurants in Emilia Romagna although it is located outside a small village in a very rural area. Cosy and warm place, authentically designed like a mountain hut, amazing hospitality by a unique family of very talented people who master the art of hosting and cooking. We felt at home and didn't want to leave. everything we ordered, from appetizers to deserts, was nothing less than perfect. Don't miss the hot wine in the end. kids friendly.

We stayed at Best Western just a mile away from Magnagallo but our GPS had some difficulties to position the place which is at the exit to the Bologna-Milano autostrada. We ate there three evenings in a row. This says it all. Let's start with the Borghelo, a local crepe served several evenings as an entree. The place consists of a very large room with plenty of tables attended by not more than 2 to 3 waiters who are always in a friendly rush and assisted by an elderly gentleman, apparently the owner. The place is frequented by locals who come in larger groups for anniversaries but also smaller ones. Further, it is visited by local people who stay at the attached three star hotel. Very nice and mainly casual atmosphere. The restaurant offers free digestives and pays special attention to the customers with additional pasta to be tasted. The duck we had was slightly on the hard side but all in all the food was very good. Prices are acceptable.

This restaurant, located inside the Arceto Castle, should be rated 3 Star Michelin and is definitely worth a visit when visiting the Emilia-Romagna region. The menu changes with the seasons, so you will find a wide variety of dishes from duck (anatra) and quail (guaglia) to Agnus beef, veal (vitello) and fish, such as tuna and sea bass (branzino), as well as traditional dishes such as risotto and pasta. The appetizers are creative and varied, and quite large (recommend to share one), priced from â¬12 to â¬16. I had the Soufflè di Parmigiano Reggiano, (baked egg and parmigiano cheese, pear, honey, and Balsamic). The meal starts with fine baked breads and gnocco, and a small tasting of the house special soup. Main courses are very reasonably priced, from â¬14 to â¬20. The wine list is quite substantial, specializing in small wineries throughout Italy. We ordered an exquisite 2007 Amarone, one of their younger wines on their list. For 45⬠you wouldn't find that in the USA for under $200 (if you could find it). The service is exceptional, very kind and attentive wait staff. The dining area is quaint and romantic, although I would suggest lowering the lights (emphasized lighting tends to be common throughout restaurants in Italy). And there is nice smooth jazz music playing in the background. In summer there is outdoor seating. Dessert, I can't comment on, because we were too full to order it. However, the waiter brought us a plate of small varied desserts, (gratis), and it was just the right amount to end a perfect meal. In total, the bill was under â¬100 for 2 appetizers, 2 main courses, a fine bottle of wine, bottled water, and service charge. Quite reasonable!

Excellent service - greeted with Presecco. Service was very attentive - excellent English. Pasta dishes were fantastic - Carbonnara - Salads were huge and very satisfying. Party of 6 - everyone left talking about how it exceeded their expectations.

I tried Giusto Spirito following the strong recommandations of some friends... I have to say that the pizza is just wonderful: well cooked, not too thin, tasty and with very good ingredients. Let alone the price... there's NO cover charge (almost impossible to find in Italy!). With one of the most expensive (and delicious) pizza, the "Fuori Napoli" and a Coca Cola, you end up spending 9 Euros!!!The location is always crowded, but service is good, smiley and friendly young people.Definitely to go for!
