Reviews on European food in Ravello, Province of Salerno, Italy. Three miles of twisty mountain roads up from Amalfi, the gorgeous resort of Ravello has been attracting celebrities for centuries, including Richard Wagner, Greta Garbo, Gore Vidal and D.H. Lawrence, who wrote Lady Chatterley’s Lover here. Ravello’s Duomo (Cathedral) and Villa Cimbrone (both 11th century) and Villa Rufolo (13th century) are all magnificent sights. The annual summer Ravello Festival began as a salute to Wagner’s music, but now showcases a wide range of music and arts.

Had a lunch here avoiding the maddening crowd in Amalfi square. Had a great lunch with drinks, hostess was tremendous and the food even better all at a very reasonable price.

On the wide terrace on warm summer evenings or in a glass-walled dining room, the Garden's restaurant offers the best of regional cuisine. The style is unmistakable classic Italian and the accents are naturally local - the fishermen's "catch of the day" a
I think that this restaurant suffers a bit from being used by tour operators for package deals, because a lot of guests at the hotel have bought half or full board packages. The set menu was therefore not very interesting, but quite good value. The a la carte was more varied but not good enough for the prices charged. Lovely view over the bay of Naples though.

We went for a relatively early dinner. Literally 30 seconds after we sat down the waitress came to take the order; when we said we hadn't even had a chance to look she went away and it kind of went downhill from there. It was probably 20-30 minutes before we were able to get her attention again and even my dad who's very laid back was on the verge of walking out.The food was pretty OK but the portion sizes were unmanageable. My dad had octopus as an appetiser and it was enormous - and then the mushroom risotto was also very large. Fine if you're American and planning to become Mr Creosote but really, it was too much.

Confalone the restaurant is located on the first floor of the ancient palazzo.Conserva nell'aredamento taste and comfortable for customers. The restaurant has a terrace on the coast and garden with a wonderful view. Winter closure from November to March
My husband and I came here for a late lunch to celebrate my bday and we were lucky enough to have the terrace all for ourselves. Firstly, this restaurant is located in the beautiful hotel Palumbo that is worth the visit alone. The decor, art and furniture makes you feel like you are in a museum. The staff is so friendly and made us feel welcome immediately. The restaurant is so beautiful it made us feel we were in a fairy tale. The view set up the mood, the China, glasses and decor were super elegant and made everything feel more special. The food was amazing! We had a shrimp appetizer with peas purée (â¬16) my husband had the tuna with vanilla mashed potatoes (â¬22)and I had the sea food pasta (â¬16). The food was so fresh and amazing! My husbands tuna was the best we have ever had. Unlike many other reviewers stated, I found the prices to be extremely reasonable given the quality of the food, service and location. A glass of their amazing 2011 red wine (produced in their private vineyard) was only â¬7 and â¬24 for a bottle. In the US, for a restaurant this level a glass of wine alone would be 16 for the cheapest wine on the wine list. We loved their wine so much we purchased a set with 3 bottles with all the wine we had at lunch (rose, white and red) for the bargain of 25 euros). I wish I had more space in my luggage to purchase much more. Lastly the service was top notch and elevated the experience. We felt well taken care of and at the same time they served us with perfect formality and finesse, we carried a very pleasant and casual conversation throughout our almost 2 hour lunch: we never wanted to leave! We couldn't be happier with our servers Raffael and Maurizzio. Thank you so much for making my bday experience unforgettable!!!

This restaurant is absolutely fabulous, and actually quite good value considering the quality of food and service. We dined here on a Tuesday evening - you must sit on the balcony with a beautiful view of the sea. The meal was perfect, start to finish. The octopus appetizer was the best fish dish I've ever had in my life - no words can do it justice. Just try it. And everything else we had on the menu was splendid. No further details are warranted - just go! Best meal we had on our two week honeymoon in Italy!

Since 1955, a tasty history Inside the narrow streets, through the Moorish streets and all the little squares near the sea, Minor collects the scents and flavors of it are cooking traditions. Here, let us not forget, was produced handmade pasta, which bec
Stopped in during our week-long stay in Minori after reading all the great reviews. The restaurant itself is beautiful. Both indoor and covered outdoor seating. Service was generally inattentive (even by Italian waiter standards). Food was good, but not any better than other local restaurants and pricier. We didn't go back.Dear jkp99b,thanks a lot for choosing our restaurant!I'm sorry we did not meet your expectations although we always do our best.Hopefully you'll give us one more chance in the future, grazie,Antonio & Giovanni Di Bianco.

Located just a few steps away from the main square of Ravello, the restaurant Al Ristoro del Moro provides the ideal place to enjoy a stunning view of the Amalfi Coast and the Lattari Mountains rising majestically out of the sea.By visiting the restaurant
Excellent service, fresh flavours and amazing veg. bean soup. The food was so delicious that we had the servers run back and forth for the repeat orders. The deck outside is a great place to enjoy the beautiful view of the Amalfi coast night lights during dinner. The desserts are awesome. Overall a great dinner experience. We were celebrating a friends birthday so we were a noisy bunch, but the managers did not mind ..I think.

We visited Rossellini's restaurant to celebrate my boyfriend's birthday. The view was amazing, but the food was quite tasteless. Excellent service though. Additionally, we wanted to share the grand tasting menu but we were charged twice for it. We could not finish the menu - we had to skip at least 3 dishes. We were expecting more of the food since we wanted to experience great food from the Amalfi coast since the area is famous for that. The view was also important, luckily we were not disappointed with it.

One of the best places on Amalfi coast and probably on Mediterranean sea for fantastic views and photo shoots. I am a Vegetarian and had the tasting menu. The presentation and quality of food was amazing. For a change no Pastas or Pizza on the Menu in an Italian restaurant. The entire hospitality team is very friendly. Also if you are eating at the restaurant no entry fee to visit the Gardens. A must troll around if one wants to have a picture taken from one of the most beautiful spots at the top of the sea.Dear 428kirtip, Thank you for the time you dedicated to write the review. I'm really glad that you enjoyed the experience in "il Flauto di Pan" and I will share your review with my entire team. We truly believe in the selection of the best quality of products to provide our guests an unforgettable experience through our plates. We hope to welcome you again soon.
