Last year we visited this place with our children and gave it a 1 star.We went back this year to see what would happen! We did not have a reservation and they were extremely busy,They fitted us in.They also recognised us from last year and had read our review.Service was excellent, these guy who love "The Godfather" movie so much the restaurant is themed on it,don't hold grudges. The meal was excellent and the portions very good. The staff went out of their way to make us welcome and the kids played on the trampolines whilst waiting for the meal to be served and after. We were even able to order a pizza to take away for our older daughter who stayed in our holiday apartment as she was unwell.Sylt is not a cheap place to visit so be prepared to pay a lot more than you would for a meal elsewhere in Germany,

Really loved the kitchen&service at Tellerand, very nice team and amazing food, great fish dishes! The dessert was a big surprise - the Easternegg - but also everything else was just delicious! Great place to go with your friends enjoying the nice atmosphere and fresh food!

Guess the island has not learned about service yet. After reading in a magazine that this is Sansibars sister we decided to give it a try although the menu doesn't look to spectacular. Even got a booking on a Friday night outside. Upon arrival the service greeted us in a very rude way. When we said we'd like to have a look they said we have to ask for permission. When we said we have a booking outside they said they would give us a nice table inside. So we decided to go and leave our money at Sansibar which has better service and food for the same price. While leaving the manager gave us a rude comment.

Located just off the stairs down to the main beach the Strandmuschel is located at a premium location. While this can be a bit of a disadvantage during the main season, we are still frequent customers of the Strandmuschel. We love to go there off-season or off-peak and snack a few scampi in garlic oil. I personally try to copy these scampi for years, but I have no clue how they manage to serve the scampi in sizzling oil without them turning hard. The Strandmuschel has three sections:1. Indoors, the small, slightly darkish part of the original building (I never sat in this section).2. The winter garden which is the bright, open add on to the building, perfect for families, groups and interaction off season3. Outdoors chairs, tables and beach chairs are providing a nice location during the sunny season. The staff is very friendly and happily stays for a chat (if you want to). You might also come for a sundowner. Prosecco is half price the last 20 minutes of the sunset.

I enjoyed eating here, the service was friendly, they had an asparagus menu, due to the asparagus season, and a good choice of fish. It has no sea-view, but the atmosphere is cozy, and they have a garden to eat in as well.

We arrived quite late and have been welcomed by a very nice man who could not only speak perfectly English but also Italian. The menu we had was perfect with a tasty yellow pepper soup served with a fillo pastry lamb meat 'cigar',followed by grilled beef with rosemary polenta and crunchy zucchini.we even had an 'amuse buche' and a pre dessert before our warm churros with white chocolate sauce.Very good the wines too.

Booking is essential. This stylish and well appointed two- starred Michelin restaurant is the diamant in the crown of Soelringhof Hotel (see seperate review). Unfortunately, there is no pre- dinner cocktail menu at the bar- so we settled for pink champagne instead. We enjoyed an excellent dinner for two. If you are a romantic- make sure to ask for a quiet table at the far end of the restaurant. Sitting close to the open- plan kitchen can be entertaining- albeit a bit noisy. Service was expectedly professional and friendly throughout- but lacked the relaxed and effortless attitude we experienced from the hotel's staff. They should held up their heads a bit higher without being arrogant! The food is outstanding, in choice of ingredients, arrangement, seasonality and quality. The only negative aspect is the high prices: 66⬠for a dish of pasta and a few shavings of truffle is pure extorsion. I have had equally great but cheaper food in central London. Besides, slightly larger portions for gentlemen surely would not go a miss. All in all: well done!! Posh up the bar, max the portion sizes from nano to normal and polish the service and you are defo en route to star no. 3!!! Watch this space..

We booked a table here for dinner after reading the reviews and were not disappointed.Being only two people, we couldn't try many dishes but what we ordered was great. We had the lamb sausage with sauerkraut, green herring with sauteed potatoes and cucumber salad and tagliatelle with crispy fried prawns and thai veggies in coconut sauce. All excellent! Pricey but portions were large, so ok.
