The St Moritz s team is committed to serving the finest British food, using predominantly Cornish ingredients. Our restaurant's success is built on innovation and freshness;which is what you'll find across all our menus, whether you are a child or grown-up
The restaurant lacked ambience, but light and airy and welcoming staff. We ordered cocktails but they didn't arrive until after we had finished our starters. The food was good but staff were generally slow and not attentive - for the price you'd expect a few extra touches for example remembering who ordered what meal. The staff started cleaning up and spraying all the tables around us ready for breakfast in the morning which made us feel unwelcome, but were also slow in bringing us the bill. For the price it was disappointing but it has lots of potential with a few service changes and attention to detail.

The gold medal went to the comparatively modest starter: raw sea bass on a base of crunchy slaw with creamy kotsuobushi flavoured mayonnaise droplets. Fabulous fillet of beef, beautiful meat perfectly cooked served with charred (carrot cooked on embers) and borderlaise sauce. Pear tart for pudding got the bronze but still Olympic standard (should have had the chocolate cake!)Super Pinot noir by the glass and good choice of non alcoholic drinks. Friendly greeting, service and good send-off. Nicer ambience in the dining room than I remember from last time (though canât pin down why).

Pleasant staff and nice menu but nothing spectacular fior the price - the local pubs serve better food !Thank you for taking the time to leave a review on TripAdvisor. I am sorry you feel the menu is overpriced, we believe that our prices are fair for the high quality, locally sourced where possible ingredients that we use.

Family friendly, casual dining restaurant that will appeal a broad cross section of the public. Open for coffee's, light lunches, after work drinks and evening meals." The restaurant retains it's character with a family restaurant upstairs and Al Fresco d
Family holiday based in Wadebridge and we were delighted to find Warneâs.We visited on two occasions and can highly recommend the hake dish (see photo) and the Fillet steak which was cooked to perfection. However, all dishes we tried were well presented and delicious to eat. We had x 3 children with us and it was brilliant to find somewhere were adults could eat great food but so could the children. They do a three course menu for the children for £10.00 each which was very good value for quality food. The children all loved it. But donât go if you have picky kids who only eat nuggets or pizza. The staff were very accommodating, polite, friendly and despite being particularly busy the first evening we went looked after us weWe make our evenings a special part of the holiday so didnât mind the wait between courses the quality oof the food served being more important. Desserts Yum we can recommend all the desserts the on the children menu especially the chocolate brownies. For adults the sticky toffee pudding was very nice and the Fresh fruit Elton Mess with raspberry sorbet Mmmm..... All in all two lovely evenings out

A small, family run restaurant in Rock, Cornwall
Having visited this restaurant under a previous owner many years ago we were interested to return and see how things had changed. Loved the feel of the simple layout, quality feel to decor and calming artwork by local artist Allan Caswell. We were warmly welcomed by the hostess/owner who explained the table was ours for the evening ( we booked for 715) a real bonus if you want to take your time and amke more of the experience as so many other restaurants locally in Rock/Padstow limit tables to a 2 hour slot and are quick to move you on through. An extensive winelist is available and was great that glasses were topped up slowly just at the right time. A small and delicious menu offered - 4 starters, 4 mains and fresh fish, a meat dish and vegetarian offered at each stage. We opted for Partridge and Gin soaked salmon dishes to start and Halibut main courses. Chefs appetisers of a beetroot/horseradish meringue and ham/potato mini cake was an exquisite to start. Fresh baked bread offered and GF options available. The food was perfectly cooked, beautifully presented and explained enthusiastically by the team. If you have room for dessert - the British cheeseboard is highly recommended. We are looking forward to returning next spring with friends.
