Nice restaurant by the sea, with welcoming service and fresh fish. They also had good wine options, which is not very common in Milos.

Aktaion Pizza Bar

Every time we go to Adamas, we go to the Aktaion for a coffee or lunch. There is a wide range of snacks and food and its not only pizza. Try a nice salad or an omelet. I agree that the food is not traditional, but every dish is made with care and it's ok for a quick lunch. The fresh orange juice is delicious. The service is impeccable and quick. The only thing I am sorry for is that they have transformed the terrace. The comfortable chairs are gone. Instead, long tables have been placed, probably for large groups of tourists, waiting for their boat. Not nice. All the intimacy and comfort have desapeared.A few uncomfortable chairs and tables are put in the front were you can look at the sea, It's not the same anymore. Aktaion, please don't do that, you have spoiled a nice and charming place in favour of big groups of people. To my feeling, this is not Milos anymore. Wrong decision.

The restaurant is opposite Papikinos beach, a 15min walk from Adamas harbour on the coastal road. It comes just after the very popular restaurant 'O! Hamos'. The name 'Lydia' is that of the chef, a lady from Poland, who has been coming to Milos for over 25 years and who used to work as a chef at the 'Marianna' restaurant by the harbour. The service job is taken over by her son Mateusz, who also speaks Greek, and his girl friend Marta, who doesn't speak Greek, but good English. They are all very friendly and do their job with a lot enthusiasm. As they told me, they spend the summers here, in winter they go back to Cracow. On the first evening - after some complimentary appetizers were served - I had an eggplant salad, which came with capers (the only place I have seen this besides the 'Marianna') and which I liked. For the grilled octopus I had to wait a long time and then it came soaking in oil and rather tough. I also had to ask for some fresh lemon, which normally comes with it. Not the 'Best Seafood', as the restaurant advertises itself on a board by the entrance.Having especially enjoyed the atmosphere and the service I went back again the next evening with my daughter and her husband. This time I ordered the 'Grilled Sardines', which came without their heads and with a separate bowl of oil. When paying the bill I was surprised to see that here they cost 12€, when at the 'Marianna' the price is 9€.We also tried the 'Lydia Salad', which was quite original with lots of lettuce and rocket, with soft Myzithra cheese and peeled apple wedges, all topped with Balsamico vinegar. When I asked Mateusz, if they do any Polish dishes, he said that his mother makes a Gulash - the Polish, not the Austrian or Hungarian variety. At the end we were each offered a glass of Tsipouro (Pomace Brandy).

Avli-Milos

This restaurant is simply delicious. My husband and I arrived early with only a couple tables taken, midway through our meal the line was down the alley. The servers were cheerful, attentive and great service. The location is beautiful, we say outside, but inside looked lovely as well. While the hungry crew waited in line they were brought complimentary white wine and the server came later you collect glades. The value was amazing, tied for first place for the best mall we've had in Milos and the value was unbelievable! We ordered greek salad, cheese pie, grilled artichokes with capers, and a slow cooked lamb shank in butter and cheese. Shared everything and were stuffed!! This comes highly recommended from two people who really love and appreciate a good meal. All the other tables orders looked amazing, we were sneaking peeks at other dishes as they were delivered. Please go to this restaurant, you'll be so glad you did!!

We had diner here with my family (2 adults and 2 teenagers). The restaurant is well situated at the sea. You will be well seated. We obviously had seafood: ceviche, shrimps, squids. Every was fresh, well made with a very good taste. The service was good - the young lady was particularly nice and was looking after us to make sure we felt good and comfortable. At the end of the meal, we had some fresh fruits on the house - perfect for closing our diner. I definitely recommend this place for diner. On behalf of the restaurant and staff we thank you very much for your preference to our restaurant and for beautiful comments! It was our pleasure to serve you! We are waiting for you to taste our other dishes!
