Pistoia (Italian pronunciation: [piˈstoːja] ( listen)) is a city and comune in the Italian region of Tuscany, the capital of a province of the same name, located about 30 kilometres (19 mi) west and north of Florence and is crossed by the Ombrone Pistoiese, a tributary of the River Arno. It is a typical Italian medieval city, and it attracts many tourists, especially in the summer. The city is famous throughout Europe for its plant nurseries.

I can really only comment on this place as a cafe and breakfast place. We try their lunch or dinner. The Illy coffee was great. We enjoyed Italian breakfast here twice. I also enjoyed a nice double espresso while I waited for my friend to arrive.

Is the brainchild of brothers Mati to transmit in a concrete way their great passion for cooking and for the Tuscan territory. Together they made this project and chose this name (TUSCANY FAIR - Fair Tuscany) to offer a fair of emotions, through the retur
Being conveniently located close to the toll road in Pistoia, this is a decent option for people driving on their way for more renowned Tuscan destination an A11 motorway, like Florence or Lucca. If you visit Pistoia, I would recommend this only if you have a car.The venue is new and decorated in a simple style. The menu is abundant of non meaty options when it comes to appetisers and first courses, whilst cheese selection is the only alternative to steak, venison etc within main courses. Ingredients seem genuinely fresh (the management boasts they are grown in the property or by farmers nearby) and their strenghts were particularly noticed in the delicate lasasgne with vegetables. Ribollita was nothing to die for, but there was no execution blunder either. Good dessert list, at 4-5 euros each, some options very good (apple pancakes), some average (yogurt cheesecake). You can have two dishes and dessert for 25 euros, which is probably a bit high for some Pistoiese residents who believe they have to eat a lot with little money, but probably compares very well with Florence or Lucca. Which is the reason why I think you can come safely here and have a nice Italian dining experience.Ps. I cannot comment on meat (which seems to be a bit of a let down according to several reviewers) because I did not have any, although the people with me seemed satisfied with their tagliata and wild boar pasta. My suggestion to overseas visitors would be to clarify upfront if they want the steak rare, medium or well done. Or head to Rafanelli restaurant if you are a die hard meat-eater.Ps2. Do not expect the typical agriturismo scenery / food. as the owner clarified in one of its replies to a reviewer, "agriturismo" is the technical label they had to use to be compliant with the stupidity of some Italian laws.Gentilissimo Sig.

That restaurant have an original Japanese chef. All other restaurant in Pistoia where you can eat sushi are chinesesushi. In this restaurant the first client are the owners. They like fish and the Japanese culture. You can eat sushi and meet in real Japanese style. They have also good wine. The welcome drink is just the first step to heaven of sushi.

Restaurant Osteria la Cantinetta is located in the center of Pistoia, a historic town just a few kilometers from Florence, Tuscany. The menu includes, meat and traditional Tuscan dishes.
Together with two colleagues, we had an excellent time at "La Cantinetta". The atmosphere was cosy, the service was attentive, and our dishes, although not extremely generous in their amount, tasted very good.I had the onion soup for starters - it came disguised as a cup of cappuccino, with cream of foam over it and a small parmigiano cookie next to it. For a main dish I had the rabbit rolls, which was savory and delicious. I liked the display of the dished and the was they got a "twist" over traditional Italian dishes.

We discovered Magno Gaudio during passeggiata since we like to have aperitivi before dinner and their spritz con Aperol looked so good. We weren't disappointed. The drinks were well-mixed and reasonably-priced. In addiiton there is a plentiful bar buffet with small salumi sandwiches, cold salads (such as lentil and grain), and peanuts and chips. We had to be careful not to spoil our appetites for dinner. It was evident that this bar is a favorite with the locals, and for good reason. We returned a number of evenings during our week in Pistoia. After 8 or 8:30 this is essentially a restaurant. Reservations are recommended. We went there for dinner one evening. After antipasti, we both had flavorful, rich lasagnette. My wife followed with oven-baked fish, while I had a mixed seafood salad. The lightness of each was a perfect balance to the heavier first course. Everything was delicious. There is also a wide range of wines available. All at very reasonable prices. The women at the bar are hard-working and friendly hostesses; they give as much attention to stranieri like us as they do to the local regulars. In the back, the kitchen staff prepare exceptional snacks for one's aperitivo or delicious courses for dinner.

Authentic tuscan kitchen and italian grill. We serve excellent quality italian DOC meat, Chianina and Piedmont Fassone breeds, our grill chef cuts all our steaks fresh. We serve homemade pasta and homemade bread prepared with different kinds of flour and
We had been there twice, coffee was very good and not expensive at all. 1 Euro for an espresso and 1 Euro for a piece of homemade cake! To take a coffee break in the city centre, this is the place to go. Also friendly and helpful staff. Didn't try any other food or dishes.

My wife and I visit Pistoia regularly and have been to Baldo Vino many times. The food has always been of the highest quality reflecting the inventiveness of the chef and the use of the best local ingredients. This is not your average trattoria, rather a sophisticated restaurant serving delicious food. The wine list is extraordinary.

We walked half an hour (one way) to get to this restaurant so popular on TripAdvisor. However, at lunchtime it is more a cafeteria with a large buffet to choose from, fish and meat dishes, quickly served and incredibly fresh and cheap. Pity we could not return at night, I think it then becomes a really good exclusive fish place.thank you very much!

The location is gorgeous. 10 minutes drive from Pistoia downtown but in open countryside. There are outside tables and I wanna be back in summer, absolutely, cause it must be stunning. The food is very very good and the presentation is astonishing. We had the fried egg, absolutely to taste, tagliatelle, rabbit with squid which is a pretty strange combination and beef. Desserts are pretty good too.The service is professional but friendly and at the end of our dinner the chef came out to ask for our impressions and/or suggestions.Portions are adequate for a restaurant of such a level. Very good choice of wines and craft local beers.Reservation is recommended.Prices are a little over the medium range but absolutely worth. The only thing I didn't like is the floor tiling in the dehor.

I had a dinner here with my friends, a group of 9, on a saturday night. Reservation is highly recommended especially if you want to seat indoor, where the are few tables. The place is nice though quite noisy and hot. Maybe outside is more comfortable when the weather is good. The service is quite professional but friendly. The wine offer is very good but they need to elevate the kitchen offer. If they want people to dine here and not stop for just a glass of wine, they need to drastically increase the portion sizes, especially for main dishes which are absolutelly too tiny.Once they fix the issue about dishes size, they'll offer a good service at the right price. Absolutelly deserving a second chance.
