As with most of the Cinque Terre we felt that this restaurant was over-priced for what we were served, we also found the service slow because there seemed to be only one waiting person for the restaurant. While the orders were taken promptly, we waited close to 30 minutes for our pasta meals!

Excellent pizza. Quick service, English spoken, and friendly staff. Close to the train station and tunnel to the Marina/old town. Set back from the street, so donât pass it by.

We walked up the hill each night we were here to enjoy our gin and tonics and delicious food. The location is set amongst the buildings under the clock tower. Over looking the sea below and vine yards above. Hospitality is fantastic and the ladies who owned the cafe made us feel like locals after the 2nd visit. Sit and watch the tourists stroll by or the locals who meet on the bench every night for a chat. Worth the effort to walk up the hill

After reading the glowing reviews of Nessun Dorma I looked forward to enjoying an evening meal at one of the top ranked eating establishments in Manarola. As described, the line moved quickly and we were seated at a long table with other dinners. We had a bit of a rocky start when the waiter kept returning to ask if we were ready to order. We had to put him off three times before we were able to read the menu in the dim light and were ready to order. Our glasses of wine came quickly and my wife mentioned that she thought our entire order of salad; bruschetta and focaccia sandwiches would arrive at one time. She was correct. A second waitress dumped three wood platters on the table that contained our entire order. I say the word dumped with purpose. At least the wooden platters were covered with a brown waxed paper. The reviews were glowing of their pesto, I wondered if the pesto we received was from the morning pesto class. They charge 50 euro each to learn how to make their green stuff. It was not exciting, especially being served on a dry piece of toasted bread. The salad was palatable; we could pick out some of the better items and made that work. The focaccia was awful, lots of bread, very little ingredients and no taste. Neither was finished by us.While looking around at other tables this was evidentially a young people place, there were very few diners over 30. It seems like an appeal as a cheap place to eat. It might have been cheap for Manarola but I had a three course dinner the night before in Siena that cost 5 euro more and was three times the quality. I would not recommend this as a fine dining experience and its views are available from the trail directly above the restaurant. I would recommend reading the reviews with a score and one and two. Notice their consistency with what I am writing. They seem to be much more on track.

Booked solid on a busy, beautiful Saturday night, but the host and family member accommodated us with one of the best tables on the upstairs terrace. Our second time here over the years, and itâs only gotten better. I canât imagine a better restaurant in all of Liguria!

They have improved again since last year and we really enjoyed every meal we had here. The pastas are all amazing, the fish dishes and seafood appies are outstanding, and the prices are very reasonable. Reservations recommended, especially if you want to sit outside, and you can make them online. The final shoutout is for the little bread pucks that are unique to here (havenât seen them elsewhere in the CT).

Each day, after exploring Cinque Terre, we would end up at this small Cantina to have brushetta and wine before going to dinner. It is a quaint wine shop that gives you exceptional service. Their house wine and bottled wines were very good and very reasonably priced. If you do order a bottle, they prepare some complementary snacks to eat with your wine. They also have a selection of different bruschetta that you can order. This was one of our favorite places to hang out in Monterosso.

Superb dining experience. We lodged in the same block so we would eat wonderful breakfast's there. Then we discovered that they served dinners also and Vernazza has restaurants that live off their views. This doesn't have a view but has superb menus and moreover focus on preparing good cuisine. My best dining experiences in my 3 weeks in Italy was with the Il Pirate. They should probably change the name to match the quality of the dining experience. Perhaps, Il Excellente!

We visited three times while staying in Cinque Terre! The food is excellent, and the service was wonderful! Great, casual food and very welcoming people.

A nice place, where fish is really fresh, very relaxing close to the mountains but not so far from the seaside. Owners are young: they work in the kitchen but at the same time they take care of your needs.
We ended up here one Sunday night as we were staying locally. The staff were very friendly and the standard of food was excellent. Antipasto plates - local produce and a couple of new things Iâd never tried before. For pasta we had the Ravioli in ragu - it was outstanding, fresh pasta, nicely filled served with delicious tomato bolognaise style sauce. We then moved in the seafood - nice produce served simply and without pretence. Finished off with a couple of lovely deserts. The whole lot was of course washed down with excellent local red wine. We left feeling as though we had been welcomed by the staff and received excellent value for money. You wonât be disappointed!
