My wife and I visited Rothaus on the last night of recent European vacation. We were actually staying in Luxembourg City, but decided to make the 16km trip back across the Mosel River into Germany. We arrived there just after dark and the lights reflected on the waters of the Mosel were beautiful. The restaurant was mildly populated and we were seated immediately. I ordered the Veal Cordon Bleu and found it to be excellent. It was quite large and actually a little more than I could comfortably eat. It was perfectly prepared. My wife ordered Wiener schnitzel and it was also a large portion that could not be finished. It too was perfectly prepared. Fried potatoes and salads accompanied both dishes and the addition of a Bitburger Pils made it a fine meal. Service was quick and friendly.

They serve typical German dishes like schnitzel, steak, chicken. Nothing fancy, but good hearty food in generous proportions. They serve a nice selection of local wines. The atmosphere is pleasant and the service friendly. They feature a daily buffet that is a great bargain. For ten euros, you get all you can eat of soup, roasted chicken, potatoes, vegetables, spaghetti, salad bar and dessert. The items vary from day to day, but they always seem to be great selections of good foods. This is one of the best bargain in the area.

We were there for lunch, first time for me , the restaurant is very clean and the service very professional. Had probably the best pork snitzel I have ever eaten in my life. The right thickness and cooked to perfection. Is great when a thing which is supposed to be simple tastes so good.

Spending a week in the next door hotel made this an easy choice for "Go To Evening Restaurant" after a hard day's sightseeing and travelling (I went three times). The restaurant is warm, decorated well in a modern take on rustic and spacious. The staff are friendly and maintain the right level of attentiveness. It seems to be very popular with locals and hotel guests alike. The food is German fare (with a sneaky but gorgeous Weiner Schnitzel finding it's way onto the menu as well) with a focus on Saarland tradition. The potato soup is a delicious starter, the Weiner Schnitzel is the best I've had ever and the Saarland Platter is a taste sensation with some great stuff for those visiting Saarland for the first time. The portion size is generous to ginormous (depending on your appetite!) but the quality is there in bucketloads too.Absolutely nothing, not a thing, I could fault.

Victors is a top level culinary experience. The food is innovative and creative with a constant focus on taste as well as the visual impression. A dinner at Victors is an experience that should be repeated with certain intervals to remind yourself how good it can get if you really try.

We chose this restaurant because of reviews in Tripadvisor and were right. We loved everything about this restaurant starting with unintrusive but very helpful and caring waiter, very well-thought interior where you feel at ease but at the same time special, and ending with amazing food. We both chose menu decouverte and enjoyed every dish in it. Every plate is so special, the aroma simply knock you out. I am very picky, in other circumstances I would never try to eat the neck or kidneys of the veal, but there... I ate them with great pleasure. Could not believe myself. All dishes in the menu are well orchestrated and served with different wine to go with. You don't have to bother about wine to choose. It was not the cheapest supper in my life, but every cent was worth it. We will surely return for another special occasion.

Food was excellent. The venue is very beautiful. We went there for dinner and also on Sunday afternoon for their famous grandma's cakes, every dish was exceptionally tasty. Staff is very friendly. The Host even more so.

It is worth a trip to the little wine village of Remerchen just to visit this restaurant. It is suprisingly large inside and has a beautiful garden seating outdoors during the summer. The menu and the wine list are posted on blackboards throughout the restaurant. They offer quite an impressive array of dishes, mostly french cuisine or Luxembourg specialties. They offer over a dozen wines by the glass including local vinyards and french wines. Prices are reasonable. Portions are generous. Not gourmet food, but good to excellent food and excellent wines. Friendly service.
