Nice restaurant and good wine. But from service to food, really disappointment. Starter carpaccio de langostinos, too much oil and pistachious. Actually didn't taste the langostino at all. Tuna, ordered medium -came well done. Good ingredient ruined.. Tenderloin, ordered medium without mushrooms -came with mushrooms. Returned, and second try beef was rare.. Monkfish was not fresh, smell was clear indicator. Lot of mistakes done in kitchen, worst dish we have had in San Sebastian...Good morning Mr. Jussi,We just saw your review and we really are confused about your words as you didn't´ inform us anything about your disappointment during the dinner yesterday. Normally, when a problem happens with a dish, if you tell us in the moment, we always can find a solution. Unfortunately, now is too late. We work hard to satisfy our customers and make them happy with our Basque cousine and our service, and we learn every day as well from our guests constructive commentaries and reviews. We hope you will have a chance to visit us in the future and change your mind regarding our restaurant. But please, if you find a problem we would appreciate to tell us right in the moment. Have a nice stay in our city and see you soon.Ander Gonzalez

Baga Biga is a brewpub located in the heart of San Sebastian, next to Urumea river. Our beers are brewed on site with the best ingredients. We offer local and international food. A wide selection of guest beers, wines and cocktails are also available. Res
We visited Baga Biga after reading some great reviews, and we were not disappointed. They had a wide selection of beers and the food was absolutely delicious. The only dish we weren't so keen on was the burger, but everything else was really lovely. Also, Karty (not sure if that's the correct spelling) who served us was excellent. Thank you for a great time!

Had lunch here today Absolutely amazing hours later my tastebuds are still dancing around. The staff were excellent knowledgable superb at explains should you have any questions My wife and I had different dishes for each course and all were excellent. Starters of Terrine foie gras for my wife and Asparagus for me were so delicious and well presented you wanted to put them on canvas and return home with them. The pork and lamb dishes melted in your mouth beyond comparison to anything else we had elsewhere.Dessert a chocolate and tangerine temptation was heavenly House white a Verdejo at 14 euros a bottle was a stealWe cannot recommend this restaurant enough to you all.We really hope that you get a chance to treat yourselves at a very reasonable price.Highly recommended Thank you very much for your nice words, and for shareing them with another TripAdvisor users,You will be wellcome at Ikaitz if you visit again San Sebastian in the future.Thensk again adn best regards,EstefanÃa Valenciaga

Great food. Donât take the plates and eat the paint shows one by one, and the ones that are hot or amazing. Once they make them for you fresh in the kitchen. Just delicious, the wild mushroom crêpes, The tomato salad, actually, just everything that you can think of is good they are. Service is great and itâs all family-owned which is just wonderful. Must give it a try! Youâll love it!Good morning and thanks Woldin IWe like to know what you enjoyed and your opinion about our pintxos and staffWe look forward to greeting you on upcoming visits.Greetings from the Karrika Taberna team

We made a reservation for dinner. The waitress was so helpful and translated the menu for us! She gave us recommendations and each dish was amazing. Started with roasted peppers then had risotto with cod, ravioli with oxtail and ended with tuna. Wines were very good and all was reasonably priced. Would go again!

This is a highly regarder restaurant, very much deserving its 1-star Michelin rating. The food and the presentation are excellent, the menu is not excessive in terms of choice, and the wine cellar is more than adequate. We had the opportunity to drink a remarkable 1847 (!!!!) Jerez wine. Moreover, the view on the city is spectacular.Unfortunately, however, the service one would expect is not always there 100%. The night we were at Mirador de Ulia staff was mostly made up of young-ish attendants who seemed to be lost most of the time, mingling with each other and following confused orders from managers. The impression we had when entering the restaurant was that of slight chaos, and as guests we were not always getting what we had expected. Our glasses were left empty most of the time, we had to ask for bread more than once, entrée plates were left on our table for a long period, and when we left no one would show up to get our coats. I believe a restaurant at this level should be more careful about these details. Apart from this slight inconvenience, the place is still a very valid one. Thanks for your opinionMove the message to the room team.

I rely on tripadvisor for recommendations.Mendaur Berria was listed as number one in San Sebastian and lived up to its ranking. We did something a San Sebastian resident would never do. We ate all our pinxos at one place. We couldn't see the point in going anywhere else. Nothing could be as good as this!Dishes can be ordered as pinxos size or racion which is bigger and probably meant for a few people. We had a racion size dish of calamari and then pinxos size of 8 other dishes followed by the lemon pie for dessert. We waddled out after paying EUR46.50!Originally we had booked a Michelin starred restaurant but cancelled it. We have been to a number of Michelin star restaurants around the world and have always walked out thinking:'OK but not worth the money'.Mendaur Berria food is beautifully presented and the server described each dish when they brought it to the table.A must visit, worth every cent!Thank you very much for your lovely words, for the visit and the review. We love that you enjoyed your experience in our house. Your opinion is very important to us, because is the way forward. We hope to see you again soon. Best regards.

What can you say about a famous cook and a poor service? The food was great, no doubt. Some main courses come in real small, appetizer like sizes (e.g. the delicious Txangurro Donostiara, the See Spider) and other delicious main courses like the Cordero Lechal come without any noteworthy vegetables, just a nano strife of something. Maybe a question of concept? Maybe, but expectations aren't met.We asked the waiter for a solution to the See Spider issue, but the answer was quite abrupt: choose another meal and pay again. Not quite friendly. We needed also to decide upfront for the dessert, because... Generally, the waiter's interest for out table was quite peripheral and definitely not satisfactory. No doubt a great chef with a great talent, but with such service personnel he doesn't need any enemies. Zelai Txiki: keep up with the great cooking talents, but you have space for improvement in service.

Arzak is a 3 Michelin star restaurant in San Sebastian. My wife and I love the Michelin star system and eat at many of these restaurants. Arzak is certainly worth its 3 star rating and should perhaps be given four stars. The highlights are:1. The service in impeccable, the family greets every table. This family could rest on their laurels, but they do not. This attention to detail ensures the quality is maintained.2. The food is excellent, in both taste and presentation. Plus they are amenable to customers requests. I have no time for chefs who tell me how meat must be served.3. We had two gluten intolerant people at our table, and they still found the food to be excellent. They were also blown away by the quality. We cannot wait to go back.

At the entrance to the Port of Pasaia, in a 17th-century mansion, is the restaurant Casa Cámara. Diners can watch the coming and going of boats from its sea-facing dining room. Given its maritime character, the restaurant specialises in fish and seafood.
This restaurant has it all: ambiance, excellent food, outstanding service, location, and cleanliness. Iâve travelled the world and this was probably the best meal ever. Donât pass this jewel by, if youâre anywhere near. Reservations fill up so reserve ahead. We also say "Wow!" Thank you very much for coming and your kind words! Please, come back whenever you want!
