Can Dolç Restaurant is located in the town square of Sant Feliu de Boada, next to the church. Our specialty is grilled meats made with charcoal. We have several private dining rooms that can accommodate from 10 to 40 guests. We offer open air terrace, park
We took a wrong decision. Let me tell this from the beginning. We were in Can Dolç two years ago, in a family dinner with our sons. My memories were good enough to come back on our last holiday weekend. And it was a wrong decision. Because if you are not wanting to eat meat, you musnât go to a place specialized on grilled meat. And because going as a couple to a place that spezialises on large parties is to ensure you wonât be able to have a quite dinner. Mine doesnât want to be a bad review. Just a notice to navigators. Be sure what you look for when you come to this place. Or to any other. Because the food is as good as we remembered. And so itâs the service. No complain on this. It was our fault. Bad choice for this occasion

The restaurant la Calendula, attached to the hotel Del Teatre, is located in the medieval village of Regencós, in the heart of the Costa Brava and of the Empordá region, in the midst of nature, between sea and mountain. Its chef Iolanda Bustos has just be
My wife and I visited this restaurant during our honeymoon this summer. We have eaten at lots of fancy restaurants on our travels but we think this one was exceptional. The setting is very tranquil and the decor is beautiful here. The staff are helpful, efficient, but also really friendly, which is not always the case at such a fancy restaurant! The food we had was the extremely delicious tapas selection with a cold local beer on the side (as per tradition) and then we followed this with some delicious iberico pork, octopus and duck mains on our two separate visits. All of these mains were delicious and beautifully presented on the plate. I also had a chocolate, peanut and caramel ice cream desert which was stunning - very rich but wonderfully textured and judged. Furthermore, the staff could all speak Spanish, Catalan, English and French which was really helpful and they offer menus in these languages too. The icing on the cake though was that they were very helpful with my wifeâs dairy allergy and the menu lists allergens next to each dish and this has never been the case eating in France, Spain or the UK before. However, we actually still had a huge selection to choose from. If youâre looking for a romantic, beautiful restaurant with delicious food and perfect service, this is the place to go.

John's place is great. I have been coming here off and on for 15 years. It is always good to great and Joan is always there and always helpful and attentive. he speaks every language necessary and is always happy to let me struggle away with basic catalan.Food is always tasty and good and made in the typical way. He usually has more fish available than other places.

Family Restaurant
Went here as location is stunning. Between us we had sampled a lot of the menu, this fish got good reviews however there was only 1 vegetarian option which was a bit disappointing! Staff also spoke English :)

We had reserved a late hour, the place is wonderful, secretive, amidst a pine forest in a cul-de-sac... the house is nicely decorated. The food was not bad and prices in the upper-mid range...67 for two adults and two children with a salad a main course each and a bottle of cava.It took them 1 (one) hour to serve us very simple dishes...the kids were starving...

We were introduced to this restaurant by English friends. It seemed that this was the building where the original casino was. Very cosy atmosphere and very friendly and efficient staff. Their lunch formula costs only ⬠16 per person and includes a very good three course menu including wine, water and coffee. We enjoyed it very much especially the lubina. We will be back when in the area!

Very helpful and polite waitress, managed to get a table of 6 for us without a booking on a busy evening (to be fair I imagine most of their evenings are busy).. The pizzas and wine were fantastic, we also shared a few side salads which were lovely. I would definitely recommend the bolognese pizza. At the end of the meal we were given complimentary limoncello. Can't wait to return here when we come back to Pals next year.

Located in a small town of Pals, but with this quality wouldn't be out of place anywhere. We had lunch menu and it was delicious and very carefully presented, starting from 9 plump olives stuffed with anchovis served in a neat grid on a white plate. The lunch menu was a selection of small dishes, and all of them were delicious - the brioche with sobrassada, mmm... The wines were very good as well (we asked for a white and it was great, mineral and full-bodied, served in just the right temperature for this warm day). We asked for a quick service as we were in a hurry, and they orchestrated the whole meal so perfectly that we were able to leave exactly on time. Altogether, a great experience and to me this place deserves a star (you know which one!), considering the combination of service, food, wines and comfortable setting.

We visited this restaurant based on its good reviews and high rating in Trip Advisor. It was so good we returned a second time a week later with other friends and after two visits it is now the most recent addition to our bucket list for the region. The interior of the restaurant is housed in the hayloft of the masia which has been in the family for six generations (the seventh being the children of the current owners). The hayloft has been renovated and takes center stage during the off season, but since we visited in August it is empty in the evenings and the action moves to a delightful paved terraza and adjoining lawn where the tables are set. We were seated a a table on the terraza but there were some tables placed on the lawn - we were told we could request this when booking. Given the proximity of the rice fields around Pals, there are some insects in summer. The staff place mosquito coils close to the lights on the terraza but we found it necessary to ask for extra coils to be placed around the table, which did the trick perfectly making me wonder why the staff werenât more pro-active in offering to do this straight away. Having said that, the level of the attention otherwise from the front of house staff was excellent. The menu is well balanced with a variety of plates based on products typical of the region. The option of ordering entrees as media ración or full-ración is welcome as it allows smaller groups to still order a variety of entrees without over-ordering. There is a noticeable additional level of complexity to the plates through the addition of savours and textures to compliment or highlight the base product. These additions can hide a cheaper quality base product or bring little benefit (or even confusion) to the dish - but none of that here. The entree par excellence was the slow-boiled egg mixed with braised potato, foie gras and mushroom potato, recreated in the shape of a poached egg. The main course to recommend based on our experience would be the monkfish with black trumpet mushrooms and black romesco sauce - though Iâm still intrigued by the black in the romesco sauce (I forgot to ask!) . Even the simplest of plates seemed to be successfully improved by unusual touches. The most obvious example was the recruit from Nuria in Ullastret. This is a dish which is served perfectly well as it comes from the farm with the simple addition of a local honey or confiture, but the dish served here seemed to have an additional creaminess to it with a slightly firmer core, with pistachio, basil and lime introduced as additional flavours. Success!Jordi (the chef) and his wife (in charge of the front of house) did the circuit of the tables at the end of the night to talk to the guests, with genuine interest in what we thought and eager to talk about the property, the business and the area. The restaurant is relatively new to the region but clearly offers a lot of potential. We liked it and itâs on our bucket list to return!
