This is the Portuguese version of pubs, but with a lot of good appetizers! Although it id not located in a visible place, you must go there. It is one of the kind! For a fair price you get a meal with all Portuguese appetizers you can think of and the main meal, if you still find space for it after the entrance.

After living in Pacos de Ferreira for a number of years, we stumbled across this gem through word of mouth. It is in the middle of a residential area and out in the middle of nowhere. I will tell you it is very much worth the journey. Fabulous home cooking. Just like your grandmother would make. Authentic and very wallet friendly... think under 5 euros for lunch! lovely atmosphere but very, very busy at lunch. limited parking, although you do have off street if you are lucky. Again...a diamond in the rough that shines bright with every visit. I recommend this restaurant very confidently...it will not disappoint ;)

We went to Areia's on a monday for dinner, we already had heard good things about this place and since the majority of restaurants nearby are close on mondays we have it a try. in my opinion restaurants nearby are either to expensive and formal or to poor in the experience - at least for a special occasion - despite serving good food. With this said it was great to be surprised by Areia's. We had "Bacalhau/Cod à Lagareiro" for main dish, and it was really well served: a nice high slice of cod, with roasted potatoes and sauteed green beans, perfectly seasoned not too salty not to sweet. For desert, despite not being too impressive for the taste, I'll have to give them credit for the originality. I had red fruits cheese cake: nice, light but I would prefer a baked version of it.All in all I recomend it as the best restaurant in Paços de Ferreira when it comes to price/quality relationship, without a doubt!

Cozinha da Terra is a family restaurant inside Casa de Louredo that through the 15 years of its life received many gastronomic awards given by the experts of several opinion leaders.Cozinha da Terra wishes that the best prize continues to be the enourmous
From my home to the Cozinha da Terra we have to travel 42km. It is therefore a restaurant that deserves the journey, which is not very common. This time we were challenged by a friendly couple who knows the spot and goes there with some frequency. It is a rural house in stone and wood with the typical aspect of the houses of well-to-do farmers of Minho. The starters were very good. The "pataniscas" were not dry and they still had some fry oil, but the taste and texture were nevertheless at the right point. Then I ate a roast lamb that I had not eaten since my youth when the housemaid in our house in Beira Baixa made a roasted lamb that I still remember with longing. The white wine is produced by the owner's family is of excellent quality. We will be back as it is worth the trip!HelloThank you very much for your kind analysisAll the best for you

This hotel restaurant had a lovely mid-priced menu during our stay. Unfortunatley, my only critique is the lighting is awful. It is too bright and casts a strange fluorescent like atmosphere on the dining room and diners. From one restraunteur to another, get dimmers, lol. The food was delicious, well prepared and very well seasoned. My son's risotto was too saucy. Us Portuguese like our rice saucy, so I could understand, but don't call it risotto. Risotto has a creamy consistency which this rice did not have. Therefore, although tasty was misleading. Wine list decent and service impeccable. I would dine here again even if I wasn't a hotel guest.Muito obrigado pelo seu comentário! à sempre um gosto enorme recebê-lo! Certamente teremos em consideração a sua opinião.Cumprimentos,A equipa Aidé

Restaurant Gastropub Steakhouse Wine Bar Crafbeer Bar Executive menu Group menu Degustation events Fresh food
Our group of 8 stumbled upon this newly opened restaurant from a recommendation from our Airbnb host. This place was absolutely fantastic!! A couple things we would highly recommend:Steak tartare - absolutely delicious, as good as, if not better than the ones we had in FranceBacalao appetizer Entrecôte - huge portions and cooked to perfection 2 people from our party ordered the burger because the table next to us recommended it. This was DELICIOUS! Better than the burgers we've had at the gourmet spots across the US and Canada. Would highly recommend this. Our group went back twice in our 5 day stay here in the area. They are very busy so we would recommend making a reservation in advance. Definitely check this place out - you won't regret it.

This excellent restaurant in the middle of nowhere particularly was a real surprise, despite the rather haphazard service.Eight of us - with no-one speaking Portuguese - was challenge enough for the bemused waiter, but with only three menus and limited translation we eventually managed to order some tapas and main courses.Food was home-made and wholesome - fish excellent - and the two carnivores were sated after their hunk of cow.Even our 8 year old was happy, but knackered!Knockabout fun!

Nice restaurant and pleasant staff, very friendly. Traditional starters are nice and the main course was good. We had fresh fish and steak. Nothing special, just good.We are living in Portugal for over 10 years now and when we ask for a maduro wine in a restaurant, average price is very reasonable, at average around 7-10â¬. for a good wine. We asked for a bottle of rosé, On the bill they charged us the price of 25⬠for an average wine. As mentioned, we live here for over 10 year and go out for lunch 4 a 5 times a week and never ever paid 25⬠in a local restaurant.Boa noite obrigado pela visita assim como o comentário será sempre um prazer servir vossas excelências Com os melhores cumprimentos VÃtor Carvalho
