This restaurant is famous not just for its situation and the views accross the Valais central, but for its excellent grilled meat, and one of the starters, snails cooked in a special mustard cream sauce. The access road is a narrow steep mountain road, with many hair pin bends, but despite that the Restaurant is usually busy.Remember to reserve in advance during the autumn saison de chasse (game season). The wine list has many good local wines, but the vin du Patron (Fendant) is recommended on good quality and value for money. The service is efficient and friendly.A visit to this restaurant is a memorable occasion, but dont forget to check the weather forecast before tackling the approach road and also to ensure you can enjoy the view.

Serves quality food in both, cafe type and Restaurant. We will certainly go back, in fact more than once

During lunchtime we had the fondue moitie moitie, and as a desert cafe glace. Both fondue and desert were very good. We ate on the terras, underneath the platane-trees. The service was friendly. Realy a place I recommend. Compared to other restaurants in Switzerland, I would say the prices are average (but compared to other European countries the prices are very high).
Nous ne regrettons pas notre petit souper chez Iliko. L'accueil est parfait et le burger est divinement bon. Tout est dit, merci beaucoup !

After many years we returned to Pension d'Ovronnaz. It was absolutely worth coming. After the making over of the restaurant and with the young generation in charge we felt extremely welcome. The personnel was super friendly. We had a Selle de Chevreuil and were very happy with the choice. Very well prepared with a variety of delicious tastes. For sure we come back.

The food dished up here is tasty, well-portioned and presented with style. The kitchen is spotless. Local wines are served and the service is cheerful and helpful. Our waiter spoke some English. Everything about the food, wine and service was tip-top. The only negative comment is about the atmosphere, which does not support the delicious food well, with its simple light wood furniture and hard chairs with lime green cushions. This was not a problem for lunch, however may be too informal for some for an eleganta dinner, which is a shame as the food is easily suitable for a nice occasion. We ordered the tartine forestière, an entrecote de boeuf, 4 glasses of house local wine, and two coffees. All were excellent. The bill came to CHF 85.20, which is very pricey, but sadly not particularly so for Switzerland. I recommend this restaurant.

Tiny restaurant where you can also just enjoy a good glass of Valais wine from the different local wineries. Very friendly service by Rose-Marie and Michel.Small restaurant menu with only a few local dishes such as different "fondus". Try the "fondu aux tomates" made with the local cheese and with a good balance of acidity.

There are only a handful of restaurants in Ovronnaz and this is the best by far. It's a nice cozy simple alpine sort of place with friendly and helpful service and has an extensive menu of Valais style dishes dried meats, fondues and raclette all washed down with the local vin du Valais - quite nice Fondant and home made puddings. You have to reserve - it's casual and there are few tourists - it's mainly locals, hikers and a few skiers at lunch time.

Gourmet restaurant delivering a 7-course menu with wine matching if wanted Fresh and artisanal cook using a maximum of products from the forest and the local distributors
Excellent gastronomical restaurant, a lost jewel deep in the Alps! My favorite anyway.Runned by a young couple, who, apart of extensive training in Switzerland and abroad, has inherited inmost secrets of delicious dishes and refined presentation from their parents, this place is really friendly, elegant, with breathtaking mountain view (by good weather). Even after finishing 7 course meal you don't want to leave, so count in average 4 hours for this very pleasant gastronomic and relaxing experience, you shall remember for long.Hi evenstar e,We are so glad to read that you really spent a wonderful time in our restaurant and we hope to welcome you again with a shiny weather to enjoy our beautiful view over the mountains.Kind regards,Le Soleil de Dugny
