Other reviews give the background to this restaurantâs raison dâetre, so Iâll not repeat much of whatâs already been written. The uninspiring exterior belies the magic that awaits diners. The creativity of the chef, designing a different menu every two weeks beggars belief. Astonishing comes to mind, followed by the visual feast, the aromas, the freshness of both flavour and produce, etc.If you are vegetarian perhaps thereâs a couple of items through the entire meal that wouldnât meet your philosophy - perhaps leaving the meat or fish to one side would be a solution? For a couple, everything from aperitif drinks, the entire range of varied course a bottle of local red and white, a sticky wine and a coffee are included in the â¬33 price for each person! There isnât one in tens of thousands of restaurants that can match this unbelievable value - let alone (at this price) the outstanding quality of food, the ambiance, the original paintings, etc!! But book ahead as youâll be turned away without a reservation.

We were really excited to read reviews and had called to see menu previously before booking. We had our table for the whole evening which was lovely. No rush to get you out here.We felt that the food was under seasoned somewhat, and I only add seasoning to food when itâs being cooked and never after itâs on the plate. The flavours were not strong enough to notice for our palates even though I have no doubt that everything was made with care and attention and best quality ingredients and there were some lovely ideas. Beware if you ask for the fillet steak because medium rare (or a point) comes back as medium+.Sorry not one we will return to.

When travelling Europe, we try to find a top quality restaurant off the beaten track for a fine dining experience. Dinner at La Mécanique des Freres Bonano ticked all the boxes. The beautifully decorated restaurant is run by the Bonano brothers in a gorgeous âtinyâ village in Colombières-sur-Orb. Locating the restaurant would be difficult without some instructions. The Bonano cream colour car is parked on the main road and this is where you turn down a steep driveway to the picturesque restaurant and setting. The fabulous outdoor setting would be ideal for summertime lunches and a more relaxed dining experience. The courses were delicate, decadent, delicious and divine. The menu is influenced by the produce of the season and there is an abundance of quality fresh produce and wines from the Languedoc region. I hope you enjoy the Bonano experience as much as we did. This pub has a reasonable selection of food on offer and everything we ordered was really nice. The set menu is also excellent value for money. The back terrace also has a lovely atmosphere for relaxing on a warm summer evening.

We stopped off at this tiny hole-in-the-wall place while cycling the Passa Pais / Vois Verte and we're very glad we did. The delicious, thin-crust pizzas are made in a wood fired oven (feu de bois) which we washed down with a lovely pichet of rose wine, which made the afternoon's cycling a bit harder! It only has 3 stools to sit down inside, but outside there were wooden benches. The staff are friendly and we ended up chatting with them and a few of the local regulars and sharing the cook's birthday cake - many thanks! They had about 15-20 pizzas priced at around 9-10 euros each, and are simply served in cardboard pizza boxes.

The perfect place to spend a sultry August evening with friends for dinner. The view is simply amazing as is the food. This art gallery cum restaurant has perfected the art of the simple; they only offer a few choices which means they've perfected all of those choices. The asparagus starters were perfection and the sauce they've served with it, heavenly. My steak was cooked to perfection and the sauce again was sublime. (I would happily fill up on bread and this sauce alone!). The fish was masterly cooked and served with mashed potatoes that God himself couldn't make any better. The citron tart desert was one of the best I've ever had.I simply cannot comprehend why this is not the # 1 restaurant in this area?!? I simply cannot recommend this highly enough. Note though, it's cash or cheque only, no bank cards.Thank you Jacques. We are happy you enjoyed your time with us.Hope we will see you next seasonBeautiful day

Restaurant gastronomique dans l'une de plus beau village de la france. Village Médiéval. Situe au bord de la riviere face de pont du diable.
A fabulous intimate restaurant with a beautiful setting overlooking the old town and the Pont Diable. Excellent covered outside dining area for the hot lunchtimes. Brilliant 3 course set menu at lunch for 24e per person. Each course outstanding. cant recommend enough. Very friendly staff and owners. They have a chambre d'hotes across the road for anyone looking to stay in the area. A gem and going again tonight.

Very Good Experience. The setting is in a very tiny village outside of Olargues set deep in the mountains. There is very ample inside and outside space in this restaurant. We were only 1 of 2 couples there for lunch on a Saturday in early July. The saturday menu is pretty limited but what was offered was very nicely prepared and beautifully presented. We had Shrimp and Scallop in a Thai inspired sauce. Quite pleasant. We sampled appetizers of Escargot presented in a mini dutch oven and Foie Gras. Both were excellent and the portions generous. Service was quite good, typically non rushed. I suppose if the restuarant were to have had a more normal crowd in it the atmosphere would have been more lively. As it was though, it was a beautiful day and it was an enjoyable experience. I would rate the value at this restaurant as a little less than good value. It was pretty pricy for a lunch at 110 for 4.
