We are two friends visiting Azenha Do Mar beach and stopped by the restaurant for some drinks. The service was really poor and they treat us (asian people) like we were not going to pay the bill. I saw that they respect other foreigners but the behave was different to us. I was really disappointed with the service.

The arroz de tamboril is simply amazing. Just these is enough to go there. Very friendly service. Very fresh fish from the nearby fisherman.

We stopped in for lunch about 2 PM as we were driving through the area. We chose to eat in the covered patio area which is more informal than the inside restaurant. This is a very small town, but there were still people inside the restaurant. Our waitress did not speak much English but she understood what we wanted, and our orders came out correctly. We had appetizers of bread and olives along with Sagres, an excellent light Portuguese beer. Our entrees arrived in a a fairly timely manner, and it arrived piping hot.We ordered a variety of seafood including friend shrimp and a shrimp-grits type dish as well as a couple of beef steaks. For those from the U.S. reading this, the fried shrimp in Portugal is nothing like the fried shrimp in Portugal, and it comes served complete with heads and eyeballs. We all cleaned our plates! It seemed to me that all food in Portugal is fresher and with a better taste that what we eat in the U.S. The Portuguese also do not salt and pepper their food like we do, so if you want it, you have to ask for it.They do accept credit cards here, but American Express is not as widely accepted as are Master Card and Visa. Also, the day we ate here, the credit card reader was not working at all, so thank goodness we had euros on hand. You may want to be sure and have euros ready as well just to be on the safe side.Great local fare with good service. A little costly but worth it.cumprimentosé sempre um prazer servir clientes de culturas diferentesembora a lÃngua seja uma dificuldade mas procuramos satisfazero cliente.obrigadoarmando LourençoRest. Restaurant ALENTO: Bringing back the typical grandma's food from Alentejo and the well spend evenings around the fireplace. We use only wood burning stove. Cooking is our passion!
This is the quality and presentation of impeccably prepared food I wish I could enjoy whenever I treat myself to a special meal. The interior and location of this recently opened dining establishment are equally appealing, and set the mood for the dishes and beverages served. The wine menu, divided into various regions of Portugal, is full of enticing and affordableofferings. Do not miss Alento!Thank you very much for your comment, it is always a pleasure to receive you at our home (restaurant). The ALENTO team looks forward to seeing you soon.

Book ahead in busy times or you'll be disappointed! Run by the same local team for the last 20 years, this restaurant is a must for anyone visiting Odemira and its environs. An excellent range of starters and main courses are augmented by wonderful attentive service from a maitre-de who really knows his stuff. All the food is freshly prepared and anything on the menu will be a delight, but don't ask for fish on a Monday - they don't have any deliveries on Sundays!

Traditional Portuguese Food Restaurant with a focus on Alentejo gastronomy in a cozy space with a balcony overlooking the village of São LuÃs and the surrounding mountains.
Great staff, delicious food, fantastic view. Our only regrets were stopping here for lunch instead of dinner (as we wouldâve had bigger appetites to fully indulge), and not finding this restaurant sooner. We were just pleased to find somewhere serving traditional Portuguese food, instead of a pizzeria, however we were so pleased with the service, the food, and the reasonable value. It is a smart, well kept restaurant, but with a relaxed atmosphere and an amazing view over the hills. Iâm ashamed to say our Portuguese is appalling, but the staff spoke perfect English and were very accommodating, so despite being abroad and slightly lost, we were still made to feel at home.

We are an original Italian-owned pizzeria located in the Southwest Alentejo and Vicentine Coast Natural Park in the small town of Zambujeira do Mar. We offer delicious pizzas, salads, vegetable creams and desserts. We are currently closed for the 2019 sea
Take two owners who hail from the pizza capitals of the world, Italy and Chicago, add their huge smiles, solid restaurant experience and can do attitudes and you have the justifiably best restaurant in this sweet town on the Fishermanâs Trail. We enjoyed the goat cheese, beet and arugula salad along with two pizzas and freshly made panna cotta. This young couple understands the meaning of good food with excellent service. Hello MontanaTraveler2,thank you for your visit Its good to know that you enjoyed your experience at our restaurant, in particular the salad, the pizzas and our freshly made panna cotta. We believe that fresh ingredients and a good service are key to an happy customer It was a pleasure to serve you at Piccolino, and we will be happy to have you when you visit us again

A tiny place in a small traditional alentejo village with the best local food and excellent service. Casual dining outside or inside, very friendly staff and not expensive. We had goat's fresh cheese with ripe tomatoes and basil in balsamic vinegar (I wish we had asked for two), beef and lagartos de porco with homemade chocolate mousse as desert! Yum!!

This was by far one of the most delicious seafood dinners we had the pleasure to eat. Everything was seasoned perfectly and presented beautifully. The service was outstanding in a beautiful environment. We will be back for sure.
