I had a business meeting in this restaurant soft, calm and quiet. Suitable for meetings and dinners, but also open for dinner for family or friends, well knowing that it is a quiet restaurant. Special dishes, both fish and meat, both very good. The prices are quite high, but both the service and the quality justify the cost level.

I was bitterly disappinted with the service. While I was having my coffee, the waiter put dirty dishes on my table for some time without asking. While I was in the Ladies' room, the personal removed my personal belongins and moved my table away without any warning - though there were enough free tables for several big companies. To crown it all, it took me some time to have an appropriate answer where my things were.

Ate here twice during my family visit to Neuwied. Food is fabulous, the service was fast and very friendly. I really liked the overall layout, decoration, and ambiance. There is a nice homey, neighborhood vibe. Both dinners I had were great, hearty portions. The service is top shelf. I was with family, one member has vision issues and the lighting was perfect for her to see but did not ruin the nice ambiance. I'll come back when I visit my family next!

Not familiar in Andernach we were looking for asperges 'spargel'. The first restaurant we checked was ' Stilvoll ' on the Markt in Andernach. We had two different aspergesdishes: one classic, with ham, boiled potatoes and butter. The other dish was Italian style with baked potatoes, prosciutto and Italian cheese. Both were tastefull and very nice. But the main reason to come to 'Stilvoll' are the desserts. Creme brullee was perfect, as was the melted chocolate with brownie. The presentation was very good, with fresh strawberries and vanilla icecream on the side. The creme brullee came with mango icecream. Very nice.

We live in Connecticut and I go 4 times per year to germany.I make sure to go to the restaurant Alt Irlich. They are very friendly the food is outstanding traditional German with a touch of cusine.Prices are moderate. Please do not for get to ask for local wine. They have as well a very nice selection of outstanding Austrian wine. The prices are moderate.I highly recoment this restaurant for lovers of traditional German cusine.

Decided on this venue on our first night in Andernach. We were welcomed on entry by very friendly staff. We both decided to have the Argentine steak for dinner. Wonderful quality and well worth the cost. Steak with all the trimmings was really good quality and massive in portion size. If you are in this town I would recommend your evening menu here. It opens at 1800 which is great for eating before visiting any pubs/clubs or just walking on the promenade.

The whole walk up to this castle is the beginning of an experience. Inside the castle it is not immediately obvious where the restaurant is located - in the cellar- but that just shows how huge the castle is. The cellar is is ventilated and has nicely curved white ceiling sections with clear-cut lines complemented by white walls coupled with original stone walls. The walls have been sparsely decorated with original musical instruments which each receives illumination from a lamp as were they pieces of art. Other pictures include black white photography with a musical theme. On the stone walls old style painting dominate. The tables and chairs have real white covers in high quality, properly oldfashioned and ironed. The tables even have real colourful flowers which break up the white and stone wall in black and white and grey. The food is also of the highest quality. The proper menu, as opposed to a la carte, is hard to find (at the very back of the menu were normally the deserts would be). this is in fact very good value at around 49 Euros which include five dishes, including soup, cod, steak, munster cheese, and dessert. The house aperitif was worth the recommendation. It is hard to find this level of restaurant in this area. I am certainly going to take customers here as the interior is as impressive as the menu.

A good range of italian dishes. The group of us ordered a wide range of both starters and main meals and everyone enjoyed and ate what was served.Pleasant staff who and as the place is relatively small it developed a great atmosphere, even on a Tuesday evening.
