In a recent stay in Ehrwald we were recommended this restaurant for dinner. It was a fine evening so we were able to sit outside. The service was excellent as was the fare. In short a memorable experience and we can only but endorse the recommendation.

The welcome was enough for us to take a table and study the menu. Drinks came first and my Wife and I shared a Youser, a wooden platter with ham, cheese, onions, pickles, bread, cabbage and several other local dishes. Our friends ate other small tasty meals and we really enjoyed our stay. The service was friendly and professional.

I stumbled upon this restaurant whilst searching for restaurants in the area on Google. A restaurant I would recommend to everyone visiting the area. The staff were in incredible from the beginning - the chef even came out to run us through the German menu. It's a small, warm and cozy venue with a intimate vibe. The steak with vegetables is a must! Along with the Speckknodelsuppe, and traditional Austrian dish we also loved. I hope to visit again one day.

The menu was reduced early at 1 pm and the upper floor was closed because it was "already prepared for the dinner guests". But: the Cheeseburger with Bacon was one of the best ever! ...and so huge...much more than a snack!
La passeggiata inizia e finisce in questo chiosco, dove si può mangiare delle ottime fette di torta artigianali. Anche i piatti principali sono buoni e abbondanti

We went there 3 days in a row and ate probably most of the menu. Food quality was incredible. All dishes made of local ingredients, and all Tyrolean specialties including their knodels, graukase and others (sorry forgot those names). Restaurand is placed in coutryside, but you have to got through the forest. It's location is idyllic. I will come back for sure. It has two serving rooms but they are not very large, i think it is about 12 tables all together.

The historic and over 500 year old Posthotel reopened its doors. The hotel is located on the 2.000 year old Roman road Via Claudia Augusta and Wolfgang Goethe stopped here occasionally on his trips from Germany to Italy. The restaurant with one of the most beautiful traditional wooden timbered dinning rooms, called Stube serves excellent local Tirolean cuisine. As well they offer seasonal specialities, like venison or mushrooms. Worth a visit and a stop. Rooms are planed to be refurbished.

This restaurant is tucked back in this village, so many locals know & frequent it. Great venison goulash with red cabbage and a semmel knodel, tender delicious deer and not 'gamey' tasting. I love to get this in this region...as it's not made like this in other parts of the world. My husband had a fantastic delicate smoked trout that was caught in the small lake that this restaurant is on. There's an outdoor patio in summer, the only challenge were the flies. It's a farming area. The prices are moderate and portions generous. Great wine & beer as well. On Wednesday night you may dance to a fun woman singing Karyoke type music and her son will join in with his accordian for tyroler music...good family time.

Weâve been coming to this beautiful region of the Tyrol for over 20 years and this lovely traditional Austrian gasthof with its wonderful display of flowers is one of our favourite places to eat and drink. We always check into our hotel in Holzleiten and the first thing we do (ruhetag â rest day or day off permitting) is walk the lovely scenic and peaceful route to Auslandhof for late lunch. The ruhetag day(s) are always sign posted well advance so as to avoid disappointment. This time we sat outside in the lovely sunshine looking out at the amazing views. We had two Austrian beers and ordered bratwurst, sauerkraut, mustard, grated horseradish and bread. A perfect combination. The food is always delicious and the service is friendly and professional. We love this place and canât wait to come back here again. Highly recommend it.Dear Roy and Jeannette, thank you very much for your great review! We are happy the lamb Bratwurst from our own farm tasted well and you could enjoy the panoramic scenery from our terrace. It won't take long before the 'Lärchenbrennen' will begin and we can enjoy the golden colors of the trees! We are looking forward to seeing you again.Best regards from Aschlandhof
