Moustiers Saint Marie is on the opposite side of the lake from where we were staying, so our trip there was part of a days outing. This is a lovely village, ans well worth a visit. Being late lunch eaters, by two oâclock we sort of panicked with fear all of the good places would no longer be serving. After a quick review of places we had seen, we decided upon âLe Relaisâ at 14:15 and asked if they were still serving. They confirmed, so our group of three was their last customers. Good too, they gave us the coveted spot in the glass corner looking into the canyon and the street (bridge). Gerst Spot. The food came quickly, and was outstanding. The lamb was delicious, as was the fishes my partners ordered. House Rose Wein was a good choice too, and the desert selection very good, and very tasty. The staff was very friendly and helpful with some translations, and even had a water bowl for our two dogs which slept under the table the entire time. Personally I would recommend this place, and will be back next time in Moustiers.

We had a wonderful lunch at Les Magnans after spending some time in Moustiers St. Marie. Our waiter was very courteous and helpful when he realized we didn't speak French. He promptly got us a menu in English. We had a breaded chicken breast and salmon steak. Both dishes came with fries and a nice fresh salad. Prices were reasonable and though we sat outside, everything was spotless. I would definitely recommend this restaurant situated at the entrance of the village.

Chez Benoit is at the quieter end of the village & is very popular. This is probably because it is quite spacious & serves many different types of food.We picked the â¬29.50 menu and enjoyed a starter of very good smoked salmon. We chose the duck breast for our main course. This was a very generous portion of duck cooked with a honey glaze & served with some salad, delicious ratatouille & fantastic crispy chips. The meal was finished with a lemon mousse. The portions were all very generous & service was a little slow for the main course but considering how busy it was-no problem. The staff were all friendly & helpful & we had an enjoyable dinner. Happy to recommend.

Sur la place de lâeglise au pied dâun platane plus que centenaire Un sympathique bistrot avec une cuisine du terroir remise au gout du jour Existe depuis 1997
A cozy place with excellent cuisine, excellent staff. Be sure to reserve.I think the owner is too dominant, so the rest of the staff is a bit depressed.

We had a very underwelming experience from the start of the aperitif to the end of the meal. Mainly based around the pompous attitude of all the staff but also on the very bland dishes. To start, the amuse bouche was way to heavy before a "gastronomic diner". Secondly the gastronomic diner was not the level of an Alain Ducasse bistrot. Thirdly, the staff were inflexible, untrained and rude. We were the first ones in the restaurant, had booked many weeks ahead and my wife was pregnant, yet we had the worst table facing a wall. It was a drama to get them to move us and even then we finally got to be near the window, they refused to let us open it because they crammed too many tables in the small backroom.Dear Madam, Dear Sir,I acknowledge receipt of your opinion dated on 18th of August 2018 regarding your meal at the Bastide de Moustiers.First of all, I would like to thank you for the time you have given us, and to share your comments with the entire team.Indeed, our constant concern is to make our guests live an unforgettable moment full of generosity and conviviality, with a sincere and authentic cuisine as an "Auberge en Provence".The team at the Bastide de Moustiers and I would still like to apologize if your meal has not lived up to your expectations.I hope to have the opportunity to welcome you again in our inn, and remain at your disposal so that we can reserve you a special welcome.Best regards,

We ate here on our 3rd night in Moustier. There is only a signpost up a steep lane to signify its existence. Once discovered - it is great! Very small with friendly owner. Food is excellent and cheaper than on main drag around the cascade. We had both our cheapest and best meal in Moustier here.

Went to this place for dinner a few days back.We had excellent quality dishes of pork filet mignon stuffed with tapenade and oven-cooked potatoes and a salad with goat cheese. Both were quite sizable and again delicious. For desserts, we had the home-made chocolate brownie and strawberry tiramisu and both of them were tasty and could tell that the quality of ingredients were high.

We came for a birthday lunch after seeing all the great reviews and we were not disappointed. The lunch menu was good value and the food of a very high standard. Our hosts were very welcoming and offered to speak to us in either French or English. The wheelchair access was excellent - flat in from the car park and a slope to the wheelchair accessible toilet. The wine by the glass was delicious and the highlight of the meal was the perfectly cooked venison but every course was tasty. We will return.

La Part des Anges is modeled on Spanish Tapas restaurant with a shared-eating concept. We aim to serve only the freshest ingredients, sourced locally and ethically as possible. Located in a 12th century hotel, the terrace offers a nice view on Moustier's
We arrived a little late into Moustiers and were trawling around the town looking for a bite to eat at around 2:45pm. Most places had just stopped serving lunch, but this restaurant welcomed us in. We weren't expecting much as it was basically our last option, but we had amazing seats on the shady terrace overlooking what has to be the most panoramic view from any restaurant in the town! The place was empty and the waiter who served us had excellent English (with an English accent... maybe he studied at an international school or has lived in the UK?) We ordered baked Camembert and a tomato tart, both of which were delicious. Plus the obligatory glass of Bau (a sparking Muscat made in nearby Fourcalquier -- yum)! Thanks for your feedback David, We are extremely happy you enjoyed your time here at La Part des Anges.
