We came here recently after a long time away from the restaurant. we were here for lunch. It was amazingly busy but service was good. We had bruschetta to start which were really good - well topped and very tasty. My main course was linguini pescatore which was large and well prepared. The only problem was that is was swimming in oil - far too much for me but maybe others like it that way.

We are an authentic Italian restaurant in Morpeth which offers a traditional style of cooking. We have fully refurbished our first floor restaurant site and offer comfortable, welcoming surroundings where we showcase artwork by artist Nick Banks. At Primo
Went with family, early evening. Ordered off the main menu rather than the 3 course special. Excellent service and food was great. Don't order the mixed grill unless you're really hungry. It was huge!!! Belly pork & black pudding starter was amazing as was the vulcano chicken main course. 4 adults all having starters, main courses and a couple of drinks was just under £130 which we thought quite reasonable. Will definitely be back.

The traditional Sunday roast beef was truly delicious, very pink and very tender. Utterly delicious!! The accompanying veg was beautiful, the greenery was a la dente and gorgeous. All the food was worthy of a full 5 rating. Sadly I couldn't rate it that high, we were greeted by a maitre' d (woman) who was unfriendly, sharp, verging on officious!! I felt like we had been flung on it table with a snarl!! We were really happy with our table and as you can see the food was spectacular, the rest of the young staff were just ok, with exception of one young female waitress who was EXACTLY what I'd expect; friendly, professional, attentive without being over bearing. Her bosses and colleagues have a lot to learn from her. And just in case your wondering I don't know her from Adam... I was just impressed at her professional attitude.I've been going to Barluga since it opened and have never been disappointed with either the food, cocktails or staff. And whilst I wasn't disappointed as such, the experience wasn't as good as I have come to expect. Yes I'll go back again, but perhaps leave it a while in order that bit of customer service training be dished out to the 'senior' members of staff.
