Delightfully located restaurant with bags of charm. The menus are thoughtfully presented with a wide choice of freshly prepared local produce. The restaurant has a bright terrace for outdoor eating in summer, well worth trying. The midi menu is great value with plenty of choice and there are options on how much you want to eat (1 to 4 courses). The evening menu again presents just single plat or the full blown gourmond experience (includes all you can eat frogs legs on Thursdays!!) Overall the friendly greeting from the chef and staff makes eating in Salt a not to miss experience.

Amazing restaurant, wonderful, helpful service. The food was amazing. on our vacations we don't visit the same restaurant twice. O Deux Bouchons was an exception. I'm sure we would go there third time as well if we stayed in that region longer.The food is fresh and delicious. A must visit!

I ate here alone recently as it had been pointed out to me to try here as it was supposed to be very good. The welcome was warm from the colorful staff and, although English was very limited, they were still helpful and friendly. The layout is good but on a sunny evening the rear area can be brutal if you sit next to the window as I did â I was glad of the shades and when the sun dipped lower in the sky. The menu is only in French but is clear enough. The set menus are very good value but are a lot of heavy food for one sitting. I took several single plates instead as although more expensive per dish, I did not want to pay for things I could not eat! What I had was very well made and presented and mostly delicious, with a good wine selection to accompany.Although I was alone it did not feel awkward and generally the place had a warm atmosphere and a good layout. Very good place that is worth a little trip to the edge of Montbrison to visit.

We went for Sunday lunch after attending the local markets. First impressions were good with tables neatly laid out with pristine glasses giving an quality appearance. The menu gave plenty of choice and was in English as well as French. Between the 5 of us dining we had a good cross section of the choice available and everything was unquestionably first class for presentation,taste and flavour. The wines we chose were excellent. The waitress handled our broken French very well and was both very pleasant and efficient. This was a meal where we were very happy to tip well. Strongly recommend.

We really enjoyed the visit to this restaurant. Very busy, on a Saturday night the owner went out of his way to be helpful and friendly, allowing us to eat with our small dog in the courtyard restaurant. The menu was excellent, and we chose to eat a la carte, having both main and desert. Prices reasonable for France and the quality of the food excellent. We would definitely consider staying at the hotel as well, in the future, as the position is well placed.
