This Gallic toehold in the Caribbean exudes a distinctly French air, enticingly spiced up by West Indian warmth. Local culture and cuisine combine both influences. The stylish isle is dominated by Mount Pelee, which destroyed the city of St. Pierre in 1902. Black sand beaches and rainforests are found in the north, with yet more beautiful sands to the south. Sights include La Pagerie, birthplace of Napoleon's Empress Josephine, and Diamond Rock, a 600-foot pinnacle, once registered as a British warship.

We went to The Yellow for lunch today. We had the marlin tartare (good) and scallops (phenomenal) for entries and veal shoulder (very good) and poireaux fish (exceptional) for mains. Both the veau and fish were menu features and very good value at 12 euros each. This restaurant has the cooking technique down pat and while there was only one server to handle bar and table service he did it graciously and professionally. Recommend highly.

We had a bit of a problem finding this resort/restaurant, but as soon as we were seated we had the most delicious meal. The seafood is fresh and cooked just right. The accompanying rice and veggies were well prepared. The service and the view was superb. We were so glad we took the time to find Le Mabouya, It was a great lunch!

We ate here for lunch the last day we were in Ste. Anne. It was the best meal that we had and were sorry we weren't able to come back. Most places have a decent main meat/fish component but the appetizers, side dishes, etc. are mediocre. Not at this place. They brought bread with a bit of a fishy, delicious butter soon after we sad down. The avocado/shrimp salad was also delicious. I had the shrimp in coconut sauce and they were large and fresh. The prices here are not higher than the other places we went to in downtown Ste. Anne; actually that is one of the things we found a bit odd in Martinique, prices didn't seem to vary much from restaurant to restaurant. The service was very friendly and helpful even when we told her that we (by that I mean my boyfriend) had forgot to bring enough money so we had to keep everything under the 40 euros I brought with me.

We stopped at this restaurant while on a tour of the island. The food and atmosphere was wonderful. We enjoyed ourselves very much in their upstairs dining room None of our group speaks French but the owner Philippe was wonderful and able to communicate with us in English very well. The food was delicious!

This is ranked #1 of restaurants in Les Anses d'Arlet, and we totally agree. Low lighting, well spaced tables and low music set the mood very well. Service is fast, friendly, and at least one staff person knows English. We can't comment on drinks, as we had ours at our apartment, but the food was exquisite! We started with house foie gras which had chopped ?walnuts that was delicious, as was the tuna tartare with passionfruit juice. Our mains were veal tartare (fantastic with blue cheese and diced green apples mixed in) and beef steak served with a side of Thai dipping sauce. The steak was an excellent cut and was cooked perfectly. This was an awesome end to our stay on the south end of Martinique, and was by far our best meal in the area.

The Restaurant is located at 1643 Carbet, a small village at the edge of the sea. It is one of the oldest houses on the island of Martinique, in a large park in the shade of trees. Christine, the owner, and Karine welcome you in a warm and cheerful atmosp
Second year in a row 1643 delivered our best meal on the island. The setting is sublime, like a botanical garden. Service is impeccable and friendly as can be. Was Wifeâs birthday so I stopped by the day before to make a reservation. We started with a salad of tomato and Chèvre with a surprising cup of delicious ice cream. I had the entrecôte (steak) and Donna had the salmon. Both superb. The day before I had asked if they had cake for the birthday and the proprietor said no, but then she said maybe. The cake came out after dinner and was a love surprise for both of us (although that meant no creme brûlée for me). Donât miss this exquisite experience. Merci pour votre avis et votre recommandation, cela a été un plaisir de vous accueillir pour la seconde fois et nous sommes très contents de faire parti de vos bons souvenirs de vacances. Meilleurs voeux pour la nouvelle année !

We had tried for a few days and case coco was closed so we were so happy when it was open Wednesday evening. White wood bright furniture, open, pretty, and pretty part hidden from the street . The food was fabulous ! Lobster with a butter vanilla sauce and herb sauce too . Tuna breaded and sautéed with eggplant and tapenade . All flavors delicious ! We ended with a strawberry soup with lime sherbet on top for dessert. Definitely you will not be disappointed here !

I had dinner three times at the Cercle. The first time I was just curious to try Brittany style crepes in the West Indies. I had the carbetienne with smoked marlin. It was delicious. I came back twice to taste their other crepes. Do not miss the sweet desert crepes which are also delicious. A great place for lunch or dinner. They also make traditional ice creams! There is a small terrace overlooking the sea. The owner and the waitress were very friendly and helpful.

We went there on our last evening because of the good reviews. it has only four tables and without tripadvisor we wouldn't have found it.we weren't disappointet.we were the only guests.the chef was very friendly and explained everything to us.Our menu was delicous and we loved every course.especially âfondant chocolateâwas the best we had in our live.if it haven't been our last day,we would have retourned.
