Ordered mussels with chips.Service was slow both placing the order (actually being served) and preparation time. The mussels were tasteless in a fairly cold beer broth, served with a few bits of roast and some OK chips.

One of this restaurant's classic dishes is a shrimp sandwich - it looks good and it tastes good! And I mean on the patio (Arkipelag Garden). Also other dishes on the menu probably are good, but it is kind of a tradition to have shrimps here. Staff is friendly, service is good, relaxed atmosphere. They very often have live music here. Next time again :)

Family-owned restaurant that specializes in homemade fresh pasta and great italian wines.
Excellent food, but we had to wait for the food for nearly noe hour - 55 minutes. The waiters were young amateurs. Had no experience from restaurant buiseness.i'm sorry that you had to wait for the food but we have been really busy the whole summer and unfortunately that happens. As for the service i am more than happy with it as we usually get great reviews for it and I can assure you neither me or my empoloyees are amateurs at what we do. Hope you had a good stay in Mariehamn. Best Regards, Michele FerrariNonna Rina

Brasserie à ngbåtsbryggan is a new restaurant located in the Eastern Harbour right by the water in Mariehamn. From your table you can enjoy the beautiful view of the sea while you absorb the amazing atmosphere. The food is prepared in a show kitchen where
This place is eye-wateringly expensive (especially for British customers right now) but the food is mostly fantastic and the service is also very good. We loved the interior of the restaurant too. The quantities of most things we ordered were enormous. We ordered the seafood platter for 3, for a family of 2 adults and 2 children, but we think the 2 person one would have been sufficient for us (especially as we had a couple of starters too). The "chocolate pralines" for dessert were, however, a total rip off: â¬7 for two small chocolates (the sort you get in a chocolate box) and a couple of strawberries, on a plate. That's ridiculous, sorry. Notably this is also the first Finnish restaurant we have been to which bucked the refreshing Finnish practice of discouraging tipping - our waiter explicitly told us how to add a tip onto the card bill, and the restaurant rings a big bell whenever they get a tip.

Ala Carte restaurant in the west harbour of Mariehamn. Enjoy the evening sun and sunset on our terrace or inside the restaurant. During the high season we do serve lighter dishes from the terrace menu.
Been here a few times and the outdoor seating by the ocean in this fabulous summer weather is superb. Good service and great food. Try the shrimp sandwich, one of the best I have hadThanks a lot for this fine review. Best regards à ss paviljongen crew.

The food was very good, according to everyone in our party. We had a bit of a misunderstanding about our 10-year-old's order of a plain hamburger, but the skillef staff solved the problem in no time with s brand new hamburger. Impressive! The old boat was a great atmosphere for a restaurant and the view out ovwr Mariehamn's boat harbor was fantastic.

Had a late lunch/early dinner here. Service was friendly and the food (chicken fajita & Dinoâs Burger) was good. Nothing super special but definitely satisfying and tasty. Big place so plenty of space to sit either inside or on the terrace. What was interesting was the really well done and lifelike paintings of rock stars on the walls.

Indigo Restaurant & Bar is located centrally in Mariehamn. The house is one of Mariehamn's oldest and we have preserved much of the old historic charm of the house possesses. We offer lunch, meeting, lunch, a la carte and business dinners. On the upper f
The 'Indigo' has a very central location and is - together with next door 'Dino's' - about the only restaurant bar, which doesn't close too early here. We sat both times that we came here in the summer patio - no wonder with the warm weather of July. Service was the best we encountered in Mariehamn. They have light, bistro style dishes on offer and we were happy with what we ordered. My daughter had a 'Chevresalad' with French goat cheese, my son in law both times the Steak Sandwich, while I tried once the Roast Beef (Rabiff) and once the Swedish classic 'Toast Hagen', with prawns, here in mayonnaise, not sour cream, then with dill, red onion and as an extra topped by 'white fish roe'. Dishes can be had as small or big portions. Prices are reasonable in generally expensive Mariehamn.

After visiting the interesting Maritime Museum mid-afternoon I felt like a coffee and once more an 'Aland's Pannkaka', the probably best known culinary speciality of the islands. I had already tried it at other places, in the two classical versions 'Sviskonkräm' (with prunes) and 'Hallonsylt' (with raspberries). Outside the Maritime Museum there is a café with pleasant and casual outdoor seating, not surprisingly called 'Nautical'.The 'Aland's Pannkaka' I got here was with a thinner pancake, together with strawberry jam as well as fresh strawberries and with a fluffy whipped cream, all quite different to what I had so far. If it was maybe not the completely original version of that dish, it suited my taste and it ended up being the 'Aland's Pannkaka' I enjoyed most.
