Local Ingredients Deeply Rooted in French Technique
The menu choices were all tempting. Both appetizers and main courses were delicious. Service was impeccable without being pretentious. Truly a special place. Loved the mushroom bisque and duck breast entree.

This is a very fine restaurant in a neighborhood that is in the process of being re-gentrified. There is a French bent to the menu. The vibe is very Spartan/European. Plenty of parking. The owner is present and attentive, Service could have been a bit more attentive. Our food was great. the Roast Chicken and the squash soup of the day were a B+ The Escargot, Bread and Saurbraten were and A+. The bar concoctions were terrific. Very creative and unique. Drink prices appear reasonable at $10 but they are quite small. Worth $10. A real highlight were the deserts. Save room. You will want the Crème Brulee and the magnificent Ice Cream Turrine.

Our party of 4 enjoyed a pleasant dinner on a Saturday evening. Our salad and entrees were excellent. Oh and the chocolate cake with chocolate gelato was delicious! The calamari appetizer was average. Service was excellent. This is my favorite location for dining in Millburn, slightly off the beaten path with easy on street or municipal lot parking.I'm so glad Da Nico's opened in this location. We'll be making Da Nico's one of our regular dining spots.

This review is actually for their #2 location on Stuyvesant Ave. Burnet's is the furthest thing from fancy. There are about 10 tables and a walk up counter, but the food is great and the prices are unbelieveable. My mom had the shrimp in garlic sauce, served with a paella type of rice and roasted carrots. I had the beef short ribs, served with paella rice and black beans. We each ordered the 'half order'. The lady who served the food told my mom to get the half order--good advice. My mom's entree had tons of large shrimp. She ate about twice her usual portion, and brought home leftovers for two meals. I did sample her carrots, and thought they were very good.My order came with two good size pieces of tasty beef cooked medium well, and lightly seasoned. The rice and beans were also lightly seasoned and very enjoyable. I did finish my meat, but probably left about a quarter of the rice and beans behind. My mom's entree ran $9.50, while mine ran $12.00. At this price point, this was the best meal I've had in a long time. I'm thinking the local crowd agrees with me. As we were eating, a lot of folks came in for take out orders. The crowd was very diverse.Keep on doing what you're doing!
