Went for a family dinner and good seating was available. The venue was comfortable and reasonably spaced out. We each had a starter and a main course. The snoek starter was very tasty and there was a good choice of main course dishes. The ladies found the venison parcels a bit filling but they looked small to me. The rump steak & the sole were excellent

Went here for a meal with my wife and it was such a great experience. It was a Sunday afternoon and we we decided to return to this restaurant after have a good meal here a few months ago. Our waitress was top notch. She was attentive but not obtrusive. Our starters and meals were perfect. We had the calamari starter which is one of the best I have had. The buffalo mozzarella pizza is also really good (but we did wonder if it was real buffalo mozzarella)The Florentine steak is also a winner and I would recommend it to any meat lover. Hey have a very decent wine list as well. And the desserts are delicious. Would recommend Will definitely returnHi Vanman,Grazie for the fantastico review of our family restaurant. We are thrilled to know you and your wife enjoyed your recent dining experience with us and the Casa Bella family. We hope you have many more five-star experiences with us.Kind regards,Casa Bella

I wanted to go out for a good meal with the family. After looking into the various offerings at Centurion Mall, we decided on O' Galitos. This turned out to be a very good choice. The ribs are absolutely deliciou sand I will seriously recommend them to anyone that is so inclined. Presentation of the meals are beautiful and you know the meal is going to be good from the moment it arrives.

It all started well. The interior looked fun, quirky and arty and the chef/owner was friendly and hands-on. The starters were all delicious - our group had the fish cakes, springbok carpaccio and fried haloumi. For mains the T-bone was beautifully done and the pesto pasta good. My porcini risotto, however, was far too rich and porridgy and the pork belly was miles too sweet. I want to recommend to the owner that he adds a few healthier alternatives to the menu. Many modern patrons will take issue with all the rich food, fried starches and highly sugared items. The service was slow and rather absent. Would I go back? Probably not. Thank you for taking the time to post your review, hannetjieeWe're so glad you enjoyed the personal and hands-on service of Lanser's on Main. Our goal is that all of our guests enjoy a relaxed evening with tasty classic Bistro food. For us it's always about the full experience. We're sorry that didn't translate all the way through for you. Thank you for your feedback on food. It's always important to hear from our guests. I am sorry we didn't have an opportunity to chat about your thoughts on the evening. I love chatting with guests about their meals, especially if there's something that doesn't agree with their expectation.Friday evening was a difficult night with a Tenant Opening Party that was going on in the parking lot (we had nothing to do with that). It was noisy and we did have to put out a few fires with regular guests frustrated on the night with the lack of parking. If our attention was lacking, I do apologise.--Lanser

Always a treat. Arguably Joburg's finest Italian-inspired eatery, serving classic Italian dishes, some with a local flair, and a few other international fine-dining offerings. The risotto is an absolute triumph, as is the gnocchi. The Porcini chicken with pea risotto as a Secondi will rival the quality of any Tuscan Michelin-star offering, and the roasted butternut ravioli with Porcini-Truffle cream and candied walnuts is perfection personified. Desserts are inspirational. The pavlova is incredibly special, as is the Salted Caramel Brûlée with popcorn Gelato. Expect fine dining, beautiful decor, prices that are slightly higher than the norm (although very reasonable if one considers the serving sizes and the quality), impeccable service and a fantastic wine list and drinks menu, with reasonably priced cocktails. This is a top-class establishment serving only the finest of Italian pastas, meats, seafood, desserts and drinks. Not only one of Joburg's finest, but one of the finest Italian eateries South Africa has to offer. Café Del Sol Classico is an institution. You will leave with a smile on your face and an even bigger smile in your belly. Hello BradWow. This was a disappointing evening. The first 3 courses were well presented by the Somuleur who then for some unknown reason disappeared. We requested that the meals be spaced so that we could enjoy a lovely evening seated outside, as we were smokers. Unfortunately, we then had to constantly request the waiter to remove the used wine glasses which were cluttering the table, we had to request that they clean the ashtrays, and then we were advised that the kitchen was closing (21h00?? for an 8 course wine pairing evening). - Thereafter the food was put on the table, with no cutlery and we had no idea what we were supposed to be eating and what type of wine we were being served with that particular meal ! And when we questioned this we were then informed by a waiter - really ?- what happened to the presentation of the first 3 courses??? We were then offered a discount on our bill, in front of our guests, for our inconvenience! We do not make comments at a restaurant so that we can get a discount, but for their benefit. This was most embarassing in front of our guests. It seemed that the restaurant, which came highly recommended, did not properly make provision for a 8-course wine pairing evening. So sorry - but we will not be returning.Dear orpa711, Thank you for taking the time to review us and for informing us of the issues you experienced. We apologise for the inconvenience caused and are deeply disappointed that you received unacceptable service which has been addressed with our team. As you are aware, Ryan has been in contact to discuss the problems. Once again please accept our sincere apology. Kind Regards, The BB Team

What a great venue, ambiance, service and food. It was winter and they had fires outside to huddle around, before going in to the restaurant - a bit like going back into the past and reminded me of visiting Zimbabwe many years ago. Definitely an African theme. It’s expensive, but the food is exceptional and very personalized service, including the owners/managers. Definitely worth a visit - just do it!
