Ancient tradition and contemporary trend meet in age-old London. One of the most cosmopolitan and dynamic destinations on earth, for centuries the British capital has been on the forefront of whatever has been deemed cutting edge, en vogue, and topical. A thriving metropolis of several million people with a global reach and a worldly outlook, London is at its heart a series of small, interconnected villages with the framework and infrastructure of a modern city joining them together, yet seldom denying each its own distinctive character.

What a fantastic place this is, amazing food (bread baked on the premises) and friendly welcoming service from the owner and staff. You will not get a better breakfast menu, or better quality food, hope to come back on my next visit to London - the cakes looked delicious!

The six of us had a great meal at Bistro Mirey. Service was excellent and attentive. One daughter had the confit of rabbit wrapped in bacon. She loved the variety of textures. The sweet potato purée, the saltiness of the bacon and the tenderness of the rabbit. Another daughter had the boulebaise which she raved about. Our son ordered the waygo beef sushi burger. Delicious! My wife and daughter ordered the steak and loved it. I ordered the escargot and then the miso cod for my main. Perfectly prepared and presented.Bistro Mirey is ranked #16 out of 19,000 restaurants in London well deserved. What a find in Fulham!Give it a try.

Waited for 30-40 mins and all we are was some bread and broad beans. With all the 5 star reviews we had to try this place given the dull alternatives in the shopping centre. We were well greeted and were told that the dishes were like tapas but large dishes and would come one by one.We waited, drinks were emptied a few times which we refilled ourselves by getting the water jugs ourselves.15 minutes later we got some toasted sourdough. In the meantime a table behind us sent 2 plates of food back.Another table who ordered after us got a few plates of food. The waiter knew we were waiting a long time and comp'ed us some broad beans and almonds which were fine. These were finished as was the bread (which we were hoping to save for the falafel and hummus). We asked if our food was coming, the waiter said "now". He explained that the chicken takes a long time to cook, but we still hadn't got our falafel. He then explained that he thought we weren't sharing and so they would come out at the same time. This despite him explaining that food would come out one plate at a time and both of us having sharing plates in front of us.Another plate of food went to another table. So we got up to leave. They said the food was ready. The chef brought out the plate of chicken, still no falafel and gave us a speech about being a "real" chef with 30 years of experience cooking everything from fresh. Thank goodness he is a real chef and not just pretending to be one joking around whilst guests are waiting and not pushing.Though after 30 years experience 2 or 3 tables shouldn't really be a push. Waiting 30-40 minutes for food is not acceptable whatever the food and when there are only 2 other tables. Yes my partner exaggerated and said we were waiting an hour, but I guess it felt like it for her.The previous night we were at a Michelin star restaurant and were 2 courses down into a tasting menu after 30 minutes.Either way the waiter knew it was taking a long time hence the free snack. The chef knew it was long because he came out with the chicken to try and explain himself with a lot of attitude. Amongst other things we were told it wasn't fast food and we should try some where else if that's what we wanted. Thanks for the suggestion, but if you're going to take that long to just serve toast and broad beans let us know and we'll give it a miss.Nothing you state in your review is true. As mentioned if it's fast food your'e looking for you have plenty of options. I cook my chicken fresh and that takes time. BTW all customers get the almond habas fritas mix complementary. It felt like a full moon last night with the customers we got!! Go figure.......

Welcoming environment and cheerful service in this family owned little bistro. The limited menu mainly comprises basic Italian fare. However, the food is freshly prepared, served in generous portions, and is lusciously flavoursome. The coffee too is distinctly tasteful. Thanks

We thoroughly enjoyed our lunch here, the roasts were well cooked, portions very generous and my husband was very complimentary about the Yorkshire pud, of which he is an afficianado. The serving staff were much more efficient and pleasant than in many top rated restaurants, and we particularly enjoyed chatting with Alex and James, both were really super. A wonderful enterprise, we will be back.

Wonderful modern Japanese cuisine in Bloomsbury. Menu combines Japanese with European cuisine in fusion style.Stylish modern interior and a menu that offers some real delights and something different - Amazing tuna with chilli, truffle and lime. The chilli amd lemon baby roasted chicken and oven baked lobster with king prawn in a parmesan creme were also wonderful. Sake flamed garlic prawns were soooo full of flavour. Effcient service. Top end pricing reflecting quality of food and dining experience. A relaxed atmosphere pervades but service professional throughout. Dear Kingpaul100,Your wonderful review really captures the essence of what we all try to achieve at Bloomsbury Street Kitchen for our guests - a magical and memorable experience, combined with a seamless service. Thank you for your kind compliments and we very much hope to see you again very soon. Kind regards, Bloomsbury Street Kitchen Management Team

This summer my wife, son and I have been visiting the London Restaurants that were in the top ten of the National Restaurant Awards 2019. Core was number 4 in that list and also has two Michelin Stars. This was our last restaurant and it was awesome. We started at Claud Bosi at Bibendum which was number 8 in the list and also has two Michelin stars. That restaurant was also awesome. In fact these two restaurants were the best by far on that list. When we arrived we were told we had the best table in the restaurant. And it was amazing - we looked straight at the glass front of the kitchen where the dishes were painstakingly assembled and everything was inspected by Clare Smyth (even the bread). If you can get this table you should - it beats the normal lunchtime conversation!!! We chose the Core Seasons tasting menu and I had the wine pairing. The dishes were full of little surprises and the wow factor was off the charts. Every dish was brilliantly conceived and prepared. The service was outstanding except for one little hiccup, more later. I loved the wine pairing, an interesting and imaginative set of wines and the sommelier was great. We ate big. We started with kir royals, had the set menu plus my wine pairing and my son's two glasses of wine. So not surprisingly it was expensive, with service it came to £742.50.Our hiccup. We had gristle right through two pieces of wagyu beef so they were inedible. I think a token offering would have gone a long way considering the cost.
