Reviews on European food in Llanes, Asturias, Spain. Llanes (the Concejo de Llanes, Conceyu de Llanes in Asturian language) is a municipality of the province of Asturias, in northern Spain. Stretching for about 30 km along the coast at the extreme east of the province, Llanes is bounded to the south by the high ridge of the limestone Sierra del Cuera, which rises to over 1,100 m. The region is part of the Costa Verde (Green Coast) of Spain, which is known for its spectacular coastal scenery, with 32 white sand beaches, and mountains covered with a deep green mantle. Llanes lies to the north of the Picos de Europa, a mountain range whose geology is almost entirely of limestone karst.

My friend and I had a terrible experience eating at Sidreria Las Torres. First, there was no menu or anything written to show us what was offered and what price things were. Second, nobody spoke English in the establishment. Third, we asked for bottled water with lemon, and they kept bring us soda of some sort. Fourth, my vegeterian friend, wanted to keep things simple, asked for some boiled mixed vegetable with butter. But the lady (owner/cook) said she could not or would not make it for her, so my friend end up having two items a salad and a dish of 2 scrambled eggs with fried potatoes. And I end up having a bowl of beans stew with sausage. Bread was served with the meal. Neither of us wanted dessert. When our bill came, we were both charged with the set price of 2 full dinners which neither one of us ordered. I could understand my friend being charged for a full dinner, but I just had the bean and sausage stew, bread, and shared a bottled soda with my friend. Though I felt I was overcharged, I did not dispute the cheque. Instead, I decided to write this review, and warned others to stay away from Sidreria Las Torres.

Aceptable. Por 5⬠más tienes unas opciones mucho mejores

Local fish of the day, asturian beans and stakes filets, vegetarian options, gluten free and local cider and wines.
Friendly service in great location in estuary of old town. Waiters were attentive and have good English skills. We had grilled vegetable plate with padron peppers and Fabada, Asturias white bean stew with chorizo, morcilla, and bacon. Food was great, hit the spot for mid-hike lunch.

We had an excellent lunch sitting outside on a beautiful day (after taking the outstanding ramparts walk along the sea.) The service was friendly, helpful and prompt. We enjoyed the local cheese platter, the amazing large fabada stew, the cachopo (5 of us shared 1- it is very rich!) and of course the local cider.

Hotel recommendation as being very good. Ordered prawns for starters -- OK, but main dishes of Veal Escalopes (good) but the Veal Entrecote was undercooked and untrimmed - parts inedible and not able to cut with sharp knife. Indifferent service and management not interested in the complaint. Left early and disappointed. Hotel were shocked!!!

This restaurant looks like a typical small town bar from outside, indeed through the door you are in a small town bar. However into once the restaurant you will realise that this is an exceptional restaurant with a very talented young chef cooking in a family owned establishmentWe ate here two nights in succession and enjoyed great ingredients cooked in an inventive and thoughtful manner. A single oyster with lime and suckling pig were outstanding, the the Asturian wild chicken, pitu de calaya, was the best fowl I have eaten for along time.Good value wine list and friendly service - thoroughly reccommended.

Restaurant sits on top of (for a better word) the fish mart, (Lonja del pescado ) in the port of Llanes; this is where the fishing boats bring their daily catch which are auctioned among the authoritized members of the mart.It is a modern, airy, clean looking bar and restaurant with the freshest fish, shellfish and seafood. The waiters are very knowledgeable about the daily catch offer and suggest the most appropriate preparation for each variety of fish and seafood. The bar offers a good selection of tapas, both hot and cold. The place is always very busy and reservations are a must.

This really was a lovely restaurant. So good that we went back twice in a short stay in Llanes. Fantastic food and service - overused phrases that have a real meaning here. You are made to feel at home immediately. The food is freshly cooked with original twists on classic dishes, served beautifully in lovely surroundings, with a great wine list. We loved it. Easily the best restaurant in town and one of the best Iâve ever been in anywhere...

I went with friends and a French couple we met the the bar. We had the house wine at the bar and it was very good local vintage. We meandered upstairs and ordered the house special for the day. It was a local white fish wrapped on ham and stuffed with something, covered with a great light cheese sauce. The meal was fantastic. If you go I would recommend the special or ask Ricardo, the owner, what he recommends. The location is on side street on the right about 1km from A-8.Enjoy
