Nice classy, biggish steak restaurant. We all had the fillet steak. Three of our group had medium rare steaks but they said it could have been warmer and less bloody. They also had asparagus in hollandaise sauce which was a seasonal special and very nice. I had my steak (with pepper sauce) medium/well done and it was spot on/perfect/faultless, nicely char-grilled and hot.I asked where the truly fantastic beef was from, the waitress had to ask the kitchen and it is Uruguayan.Malbec wine was delicious.Service was nice and polite but uninformed and a bit slow towards the end (even though it was a Monday which is a quiet day in this state of Germany, Thuringen). We would return again.

We were very satisfied with the food quality. They provide an excellent tomato soup or caprese we tried almost all starters what they had on the card. We took a surf&turf steak plate for 3 person, the meat quality was excellent but all the salad what they had, had a little bit similar taste because they probably use the same aceto balsamico for them all. But it tastes great. The panna cotta was also great! The espresso was a huge disappointment, they should immediately change the machine. They have a fairly ok wine card with good local wines, but nobody can really support you in the selection, the staff has no really idea, they lack definitely of knowledge about wine. Otherwise they are nice and helpful nothing to complain about. Considering the place, that it is relatively far from any big city and not easy to get there the price is relative high. Even for this quality of food.

It had been a while since I had visited a German restaurant. For a Saturday it was pretty empty, so we were allowed to pick a nice, big table for the two of us.The order was taken promptly and the drinks came first - in huge glasses. The dish was a quite big serving of very, very tasty pork with Semmelknödel and Sauerkraut. My buddy had a big serving as well and enjoyed it quite a bit too.Staff was friendly and without a smile, which is quite normal, and they were quick too. Would go there again to get my fill of Baverian food :)

We stopped here for a quick lunch during our recent visit to Zwickau. While the place was pretty busy the service was very quick and responsive.Their pizzas are definitely to recommend.

Very nice restaurant, quick servicing and good prices. It has daily main dish and desert. Nice place to stay after the meal for a coffee or some drink.

Very pleasantly surprised to find this excellent restaurant in the otherwise sleepy Hof. The extensive menu has something for all tastes and budgets; from basic Pizza to exquisite fish dishes; and a wine menu which ranges from simple open wines to pricey but excellent rarities. The owner Gerardo is a throughly charming individual, and staff were friendly and attentive throughout. Only slight negative: the starter portions were enormous, which may be de rigeur with the clientele in the sticks of Franconia, but rather too much as part of a "proper" Italian meal The John Dory in Prosecco sauce was outstanding though. If Il Ristorante wre in a bigger town it would be booked out every night. The good people of Hof mostly seem to be in bed by 8pm though, which makes dining here relaxing too.

Season is a really cool restaurant with extremely well tasting food. We especially enjoyed the starters which were delicious. Portions are well sized and prices are reasonable for the quality of food you can expect. We will definitely be back!

The part of the restaurant I ate had a very beatiful arched ceiling. The menu had a varied choice. Was hard to choose from. When the food arrived it turned ouyt to be in massive volumes. For example a Schnitsel the size of an A4. Pity that the group I ate with was being served in shifts. Half of the guest were almost ready when the other half had yet to be served.
