Dinner for six after a long day working nearby. We were well looked after by attentive, multilingual staff. Good food, good choice of drinks and friendly service. Large portion sizes meant that two courses was fine and the food came quickly.

Man sitzt im Klosterhof sehr gemütlich in Nischen und die Küche ist ausgezeichnet. Es wird, glaube ich, von der Oma gekocht. Das schmeckt man auch. Die beste Küche weit und breit.

Went out with local German work mates who had booked a table in the garden - temperatures were 30+ degrees first weekend in September - I had a wonderful steak with herb butter and saute potatoes, vegetarian had fried sheep's cheese salad - it was truly amazing - lots of hot melting cubes of breadcrumbed cheese - we all wanted it. Salads were enormous , the turkey salad was so large it was tumbling off the plate. Others had schnitzels which we equally good filled with 2 layers of meat and any mixture of other tasty fillings. We had many beers and shandies to cool off and wash the food down the total meal was 108 euros for 6. Would thoroughly recommend and you can pick up great icecream 3 doors down on the way back to the car ! Tip..... try the local beer its worth it , also the hazelnut icecream
