A stylish modern bar and restaurant serving Authentic Turkish food in very cost and friendly atmosphere.
My girlfriend and I were on a night out at the Cliffs Pavilion so we thought we would walk up the high street and grab a bite to eat. We always check out reviews and this time Barru looked amazing so we thought we would see for ourselves... this turned out to be a really good move...First impressions were of a warm, inviting little restaurant that was spotlessly clean. The staff are the friendliest, most helpful and welcoming people you could meet. They were more than happy to talk you through the delightful, mouth watering menu. The service was excellent. Food was delicious with generous portions at reasonable prices. Everyone should give it a go... it makes a delicious change from the usual, chain restaurant favourites. Thank you Barru.Dear Valued customer,Thank you for giving us a chance to serve you We really appreciate your opinion and review. We look forward to serving you again.ThanksTeam Barru

Family run restaurant providing quality modern British and European cuisine. We have a balanced menu with a substantial fish and seafood offering, as well as a great wine list and scrummy homemade desserts. We pride ourselves on our high quality dishes pr
Visited with a friend on Friday night - so we opted for the Friday Fizz BYO menu. At £22.50 for 3 courses this is great value. The menu is a little more restricted, but as usual I had the prawn and crayfish salad to start, the rib eye for main - this is consistently one of the best places for steak - and frenetic brûlée to finish. The staff are always very welcoming but not overbearing. One of my favourite places in Leigh and always a joy to go back!!

Decided to grab n go with so lunch as id forgotten mine, nice inside although we were taking away, service friendly. lots of sandwiches and baguettes with loads of different fillings, bit scarce on the gluten free for my friend. Little pricey in my books but canât win the all. What we took away was good, fully and did the job so not to bad at all.

We came here as we were craving pierogi which we had tried whilst in Krakow. We shared the spinach and cheese pierogi and also the pork croquettes. Both were so lovely and authentic! Service is really good, very friendly. Will definitely come back!

Went for lunch on spur of moment, based on TA reviews. Whitebait and prawn cocktail for starters. Ceylon curry and pan fried cod fillet for mains. Restaurant not busy but excessive wait for starters and extremely long wait (45 minutes) for mains. Starters OK. Except for the chips, my wife's main dish of pan fried cod fillet and vegetables was considerably overcooked (dry fish and wilting vegetables), and the Ceylon curry consisted of overcooked, dry chicken, a sauce which did not have a curry flavour, and tasteless rice.Having read previous reviews, we can only assume there was a problem in the kitchen - insufficient staff, inexperienced chef??Our disappointment was well handled by our waitress. We will not be returning.

Modern European restaurant
Dined at Alebro for dinner on Saturday evening. Have been there several times now and always receive great service, nicely chilled white wines and excellent food. Saturday was no exception. Friendly and welcoming management and staff, superb food, nice surroundings and a good choice of background music make for a great meal out. If you are reading these reviews trying to decide whether to book to go to Alebro, go ahead and do it, you will not be disappointed.

Traditional fresh cooked dishes of portuguese madeira island
First visit with friends but not the last. Staff could not have been more friendly or helpful, the menu and dishes were explained to us clearly and recommendations made. The food was superb and plenty of it. The place is so authentic I could have been in Portugal. Highly recommended.
