Others say the service is rude, but I think it is just poor training or incompetence. Service for French speaking guest was just as bad. Service was even worse the second visit. Well over an hour from sitting down until we got our meals. Everything, from a menu, to bread, to drinks was an ordeal, with multiple requests for each. We had 2 dinners there, bookending our Gwada vacation, The setting was gorgeous and the food was very good, but it all truly spoiled by the battles with the waitstaff. Don't dine there until and unless the reviews change.

Had pizza here two night in a row, very nice thin crust pizza. cold beer and friendly staff, who even spoke English.

Set on the marina, we had a wonderful seafood dinner here, consistent with other reviewers experience. Sea Berry does offer a menu in English, which we found (embarrassingly) helpful, with a good selection of tasty seafood options and nice dessert choices. We enjoyed a relaxing evening of good food and friendship here, and would recommend it to other travelers.

It was our mistake to wait until we arrived at the Aquarium to eat lunch. Le Jiss was our only option. It was a very long time before we received anything--even water. I ordered pasta with mushroom and pine nuts. The mushrooms were sparse and the pine nuts burnt. I showed the pine nuts to the server who left and returned to say that the pine nuts were as they should be (see picture below). It then took so long to get the check that I wasn't sure we were going to get out of there.

We were privileged to eat here twice - once before our sailboat trip, and immediately after. By then, the bar had been set pretty high -- truly we had had phenomenal fresh food, but the Zoo Rock Cafe was able to deliver quality food! Before we left, we had some lovely salads and reasonably priced island beer. But, returning to the dock on our last night, there were eight of us - each with a different menu item, and each equally satisfied. My dish, a lovely crayfish entree was amazingly tasty! Others had tuna tar tare and snapper. When we first arrived, it was quiet, but with a lot of wait staff hanging around. It seemed surprising - until about 8 pm when the place became packed! International sailors mixed easily with locals on a Friday night. We had a little one with us - and she easily found young friends to talk to and play with..The atmosphere was lively, fun, and casual... Our servers were efficient and so very friendly.... And, as I said, the food was over-the-top wonderful!I would HIGHLY recommend going to the ZOO ROCK CAFE!

Nice ambiance and by the water location - food was good but not outstanding - wines were ok - did not try other drinks - service very good & considerate - if you want to find it it is next to the Aquarium for getting directions - prices reasonable

I was very much looking forward to dining here as we were staying literally steps up from this restaurant in the Corail building of the La Creole Resort. This a beautiful atmospheric dining room, all teak wood and open to the sea, protected by plantation shutters. Its a fabulously unique and intimate dining room. Unfortunately waiting for our dinner took over an hour after the very disappointing and overpriced appetizer (a rubbery cold Asian style rice wrapper spring roll filled with next to nothing). The atmosphere is indeed spectacular in every way, dimly lit, romantic, built right into the cliff rocks open to the crashing waves so that certainly helped with the wait, but our wines quickly turned warm as our patience grew thin. My lobster, fished out earlier from the tank right near us, was good but SO overpriced! $55 USD ( 9 euros/ per 100 grams) compared to better seasoned fresh grilled lobsters at other restaurants, including one at Zion Train in Anse-Bertrand that was literally half that price but not half the size. The lobster came with a spoonful of pumpkin puree and a cubed eggplant ratatouille. Nothing bad but a weird flavor combo and just not that enjoyable. My husband liked his lobster pasta but I found it too creamy and one dimensionally seasoned. Frankly, the overly long wait for our entrees kind of ruined the dining experience, coupled with the high prices. Desserts were also extremely expensive and considering how long we waited for our entrees, we passed. In summary I think you should dine here if you're staying at the hotel but maybe skip the appetizers and focus on the less costly items so as to not feel ripped off. Its also possible that the daily specials are a better option but I personally did not want to order what was on offer the night we dined there. My impression is that the chef is "dialing it in" for resort guests, but maybe we were just there on an off night. Definitely reserve a few days in advance and maybe ask for one of the table towards the back of the restaurant/and by the windows for the best dining atmosphere if you don't mind dim lighting. There are a few tables in the front that are bright, especially the ones near the hostess stand. The other option is to have lunch here, which seemed very pleasant, breezy and relaxing, especially after a morning swimming and sunning at the beach and pool.

Juicy bar, smoothies, sandwiches, salad bar, draught beer, soda, coffee.
Took ride into Le Gosier and had a coke on the beach at Casa Datcha. Nice little bar and grill on the beach with chairs and swinging hammocks for seating. Right on the beach. Parking very limited in the area.
