A gem of a restaurant below the Vercors close to Grenoble and certainly worth the visit - assuming you managed to book in time!! Exceedingly popular with the local 'officiardos'!!Another three hours delightfully spent over dinner for nine of us - ages from six to eighty!!Brilliant food - not just pizzas - prices are not excessive for food, wines and the attention to detail plus service was excellent!Worth dropping off the A51 south of Grenoble!Book in advance!!

Had a lunch with my wife. We were among the few ones in the restaurant. No lunch menu. The food was ok as such. Compared to the price, however, we did not come out from the restaurant feeling delighted by the experience. The chef does make efforts to present the food very well in the plates: unfortunately the taste of our food did not arrive at the same level. Our expectations were perhaps too high. The reception & service was very nice. Need to try a second time in the near future!

We have visited Villard De Lans a few times in the past, although not for quite a few years. Le Ranch was always a favourite and on our return this year, it did not disappoint. The restaurant is larger now, a little less rustic charm, but still inviting. The menu is familiar with typical 'mountain food' as well as excellent pizzas and burgers. The food is excellent, as is the service. The Creme Brulee is a particular family favourite. I don't know whether or when we might return to VDL, but if we do, Le Ranch will be top of our list of places to eat.

Had a lunch, and decided to take a hamburger with french fries. Was one of the best hamburger meals I have had for long time! The menu has a lot of different alternatives (salads, meats, fondues & raclettes, hamburgers, etc.), the place is very nice with chalet type of decorations, and the reception & service friendly and fast. Will definitely come back!

My husband and I enjoyed big salads with local hams and cheeses on the terrace behind this typical local restaurant in early September. Judging by the menus of other restaurants, this one is a good value for local specialties. The service was friendly and efficient, even though we arrived a bit late for lunch. I'd go here again for raclette etc.

Came for a late lunch and tried a vegetable based salad and a salad with chèvre chaud, apples, walnuts etc. Terrific. Followed these with the crepe Fabuleuse which was indeed quite special. Service was good and ambience was alright though on both cases it was hard to judge how it would be if the place was busy.Hello,I do remember you.Thank you very much for coming and writing about us on trip advisor. For your next visit i hope it's will be busier.. same ambience :)

We drove up to the mountains while visiting a collaborative team from Grenoble - our local hosts specifically brought us up this way, so we knew we were in for a treat. Dinner was fantastic, with rich cheeses, delicate meats, and of course fantastic breads. A vegetarian member of our party was offered fantastic roasted veggies for the raclette, even though it was not the normal menu offering. Wines were of course ridiculously good. Americans donât know what good wine is until they spend time in Southern France!

Pretty restaurant but quite uncomfortable seating. Long menu but basically just variations on a few dishes. Tartiflette was very salty, meat dishes were poor quality, portions were very big. Service was understaffed and therefore only when they felt like it, poor even by french standards.
