This restaurant has been run by the same couple for many years and they serve splendid regional food in a nice, traditional atmosphere. We ate far too much but enjoyed our trout and all the other courses. The location is very pretty too and we went there after visiting Blautopf.

Me and my family stayed there for three days. The hotel itself is modest but clean, we booked a room for 4 and we get an apartment (two separate rooms with as small kitchen). Great international breakfast but its main strength is its closeness to Legoland (half an hour far).

Nice, old place with the good traditions of home food. Portions are big as at home and tasty as grandmom cooked. Good collection of beer, schnapps and wine. Possible to buy home made liquor and schnapps with the attractive price. Very fast, hospitality as at home and authentic atmosphere.

We ate at Ochsen while travelling on the A8 autobahn and were very happy. The Spätzle, a regional speciality, were absolutely wonderful. Steak, pork, chicken were all very good and so was the Espresso.Kids are made feel very welcome from the first moment you enter the restaurant were crayons and paper awaits at one of the kids-ready table. Wow! We will gladly stop there again during our next trip.

As others have commented, food is over salted, i rejected an onion soup that tasted like sea water.... Serving staff refusing to get a jug of tap water despite us ordering wine, bringing out bottled water, which i rejected. Then returned with a carafe into which they had poured the bottled water, needless to say it was on the bill, which we then had to leave the restaurant to go to the bar to settle. Long delay paying for the meal at bar, tired so lost the will to complain. Went to bed in a first floor room facing the little alley that leads to the rear of the hotel where the main car park is. A poor nights sleep ensued. traffic noise went on all night the alley acting like an amplifier, closing the window didn't help as the room became too hot and stuffy. Mosquitos too! Could not be worse!
